I need your help!

Over the past several years, we’ve seen a significant decline in enrollment in professional makeup programs. As both a professional makeup artist and educator, I want to better understand what’s happening in our industry and how we can better prepare the next generation of artists.

Whether you’re professionally trained, self-taught, or somewhere in between, your experience matters.

I’m conducting a survey to learn:
💄 How you entered the industry
🎓 Whether makeup school prepared you for the real world
💼 How you find clients and build your business
📈 What skills have been the most valuable
💡 What you wish you’d learned before starting your career

Every day I sit face to face with women from all walks of life… brides, mothers, daughters, entrepreneurs and artists. My career may be makeup artistry but what I really get to witness is something much deeper.

I see the quiet confidence, the vulnerability, the strength, the excitement and the stories each woman carries with her.

Makeup isn’t about changing who someone is. It’s about creating space for a woman to see themselves … sometimes in a new light, sometimes exactly as she is and reminding her that her beauty was always there.

On International Women’s Day, I’m celebrating the women who trust me to be part of their moments, their milestones, and their memories. It’s an honour I never take lightly.

Before the setting spray goes on, I fine-tune every detail—perfecting the skin, cleaning up edges, and making sure everything is polished, intentional, and precise. Only then do we lock it all in.
