Not everyone is as chronically on Strava as we are, so we decided to make run club a little easier for everyone to work into their routine! 🏃
Instead of having a new meeting spot every week, we decided to make our new meeting location Jonathan Roger’s park in Mount Pleasant. ☀️
It’s central and gives us so many route and activity options, and of course makes run club a little easier to work into your weekly routine! 🗓️

There are so many different brands and different types of hair product on the market, it’s actually pretty overwhelming, and if you haven’t tried it before, how do you know if you’ll like it?
Let us help you with two tips to simplify things, so next time you’re picking up a new product, it feels like an easier choice to make! 🙌

First things first, let’s talk about FINISH- when choosing a hair product, this is one of the simplest decisions to make, do you want your hair to look more dry (matte) or shiny? The finish of a product determines if it will look shiny and glossy, or dry and textured. Most hair product lines will have the option of both finishes, so it shouldn’t limit the amount of products available to you!👏

Next important thing is HOLD - One of the more complicated parts about choosing products is determining how strong you want the hold to be. Typically when we think pomade (Pom-aid), we think of a product that is thick and glues and weighs hair down, limiting movement. Or, when we think clay, we often think of a product that feels clumpy or too stiff. But these stereotypes are not always the case! Some pomades are light and allow for movement and some clays spread evenly and don’t clump everything together! When shopping for products, remember that no matter how strong the hold is for a specific product, everything is buildable! Adding less/more really affects how much movement, volume, and hold any given product will add to your hair when styling. Our advice? Experiment and try stuff. And have fun with it. ✌️

Hopefully these two considerations help you out in future when it comes to finding and trying new hair products and make it a bit less overwhelming, but when in doubt, just ask your barber 💈
