1. Build a professional brand. Every beauty business is defined by the PROFESSIONAL brand and the PERSONAL brand.

Before there was the studio and our physical academy...there was this.

A journey filled with rental spaces, borrowed rooms, empty bedrooms, long days, and sacrifice. I trained wherever I could, set up wherever I was allowed, and traveled across Canada to grow using every resource I had. Or I quite literally transformed places into a spot 😂 Some of these spots we made work still amazes me. When there's a will there's a way!

The academy location exists because of all the ones before it. Each place gave me the opportunity to keep teaching and move one step closer to where I am today. This wasn’t something that happened overnight.

Now three years into having my own space, the pride of walking into my academy hasn’t faded. There are challenges, in that itself but i'm thankful for those challenges because it's exactly what I worked for and where I want to be.
