Vanessa became a registered massage therapist in 2015 after graduating from West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Vanessa’s interests for her clinical practice are post surgical rehabilitation, burns, helping children, TMJ treatment, sports injuries, and treating nerves. Vanessa can offer support for our post surgical recovery and scar tissue mobilization demographics. She offers direct billing and has over a decade of experience!

Vanessa grew up in the Greater Victoria area her whole life and currently enjoys walks with her dog, couch snuggles with her cat, and getting outside when the weather is nice.

Vanessa will be working with us as of Oct 1 2026 and is available Tuesday & Wednesday afternoons/evenings and Thursday and Friday mornings! 🙌🏻

When I first met this patient in December 2024, things were pretty serious.

He has primary (congenital) lymphedema and autism, and because he’s on disability, regular treatment just wasn’t financially possible. So we made a plan that worked. We did a few massage therapy sessions when we could, but most of the progress came from consistent reduction wrapping and weekly appointments to remeasure his leg and make each new set of wraps a little smaller than the last.

Fast forward to April 2026, and he’d reduced enough to be fitted for custom flat knit thigh-high compression (the blue garment you see here) to help maintain the results we’ve worked so hard to achieve.

What makes this case especially meaningful is where we started. He came to the clinic with significant skin breakdown, and without intervention, there was a very real risk of losing his leg.

Cases like this are a reminder that lymphedema management isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about consistency, patience, and meeting people where they’re at. Watching this progress has been incredibly rewarding. 💙 (Shared with consent)
