Hair by David Fraelic
Master colourist with over 20 years of experience. I am a master hairstylist and hair color specialist with over 20 years of experience.
Every client in my chair will begin the service feeling relaxed and enthusiastic and leave feeling stunning and invigorated.
Not every transformation is about hiding grey.
Sometimes it's about letting it become part of something even more beautiful. π
I love working with clients to create colours that feel personal, creative, and uniquely theirs. Seeing a vision come to life like this is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
If you've been thinking about changing your colour or embracing something a little more creative, I'd love to chat about what's possible.

Copper season will always have my heart. π§‘π₯
Thereβs just something about a rich, glossy copper that never gets old. The depth, the warmth, the way it catches the light... Itβs one of those colours that looks beautiful from every angle.
For this look, we created a vibrant, dimensional copper that feels bold without being over the top. It has that healthy, reflective shine that makes the colour come alive, and once we finished it with soft waves, everything just fell into place.
I genuinely can't stop looking at this one!
I'd love to know... which photo do you like more, the front view or the back? π
If you've been thinking about trying copper or refreshing your current colour, I'd love to help bring your vision to life.

People often ask me why I became a hairstylist.
The truth is, it was never just about the hair.
Of course, I love creating beautiful colour and helping bring someone's vision to life. But what has kept me passionate about this career all these years is the people.
Every appointment is a chance to catch up, hear about what's new in someone's life, celebrate milestones, share a few laughs, and hopefully send them home feeling a little more confident than when they arrived.
Those conversations and connections are just as meaningful to me as the transformations themselves.
To every client who has trusted me with their hair over the years, thank you. You've made this career more rewarding than I ever could have imagined, and I'm grateful for every one of you. π

From grown-out balayage to bold icy blonde, and the transformation speaks for itself. π€β¨
This is what happens when you commit to the change. Heavier, brighter, and cooler in every way. The kind of blonde that demands attention from every angle.
If you've been thinking about refreshing your blonde this summer now is the perfect time. π

Sometimes refreshing a vivid color is less about reinventing it and more about working with what the hair is giving you. πβ‘οΈ
When she came in she had about two inches of regrowth along with a lot of faded purple and green through the mids and ends. The goal was to bring the vibrancy back while keeping the overall vibe she already loved.
We lifted the roots to a clean level 9 first so the purple would stay bright and saturated, then refreshed everything with her usual violet formula.
For the fringe we decided to lean into something a little bolder with a neon teal-blue pop framing the face.
One fun challenge with this one... T
here was still some stubborn green staining left in the bang area from previous color. So instead of fighting against it I adjusted the formula more blue-heavy intentionally so once it layered over the existing pigment it wouldn't land too green. Little moments like that are exactly why experience matters. π¨
Honestly obsessed with how electric this color combination feels now. β¨
Would you ever do a bold fringe color like this or do you prefer to keep it all one tone? Let me know in the comments. I'd love to know! π

I'm incredibly honoured to share that I've been selected as a Top 100 Finalist in the Creative Color category for the 2026 One Shot Hair Awards. πβ¨
To say this came as a surprise would be an understatement.
Creating hair has always been about so much more than the final photo for me. It's about the trust my clients place in me, the opportunity to be creative every day, and constantly pushing myself to grow as an artist.
A huge thank you to and for this incredible recognition. To be included alongside so many talented artists from around the world is something I'll never take for granted.
And to my amazing client for trusting me with this vision, and to everyone who has supported my work over the years, thank you. None of this happens without you. β€οΈ
Feeling incredibly grateful today.

Pastel colors are way more technical than most people realize and this is exactly why. ππ
Getting a soft, clean pastel purple isn't just about applying the final color. The prep underneath matters just as much. Before the purple ever went on, the blonde had to be lifted evenly and pre-toned to remove all the warmth underneath so the final result stayed purple, icy, and true to tone.
That extra step is what separates a pastel that looks off from one that looks clean, luminous.
Finished off with rich black underneath for contrast, depth, and a little bit of edge. π€β¨
If you've ever tried to go pastel at home and ended up with something warmer or muddier than you wanted this is exactly why it's worth coming to a professional.

Dark, glossy, and almost subtleβ¦ and then that emerald fringe and money piece hit. π€π
This is exactly why I love a simple base with one bold statement piece. From certain angles this look is rich, moody, and understated, and then suddenly it's everything. The contrast is just unreal.
We refreshed the black, removed a lot of the old pre-lightened hair, and rebuilt the whole look into something way more low maintenance while still keeping that creative edge she loves.
Sometimes all you need is one well placed pop of color to completely transform a look. β¨
Would you ever add a bold color like this to a dark base or do you prefer to keep it fully dark? Let me know in the comments. I'd love to know! π

Summer hair season is officially here and July is already filling up faster than I expected. πβ¨
This time of year always gets busy, especially for vivid colors, brighter blondes, copper transformations, dimensional brunettes, and bigger color changes. Add in all the vacations, weddings, festivals, beach trips, and photoshoots happening at once and availability disappears quickly.
If you've been thinking about changing your hair this summer the best time to book is always sooner rather than later. Bigger colour appointments take more planning and the spots go fast. π«

Not every vivid transformation needs to scream from root to ends. ππ
I love when creative color has a little mystery to it. From the back this look feels rich, moody, and dimensional with all that deep violet, but then the rainbow prism through the fringe hits and completely changes the vibe.
One of those colors that feels entirely different depending on where you're standing. And not bad at all for her first time sitting in my chair! β¨
This is exactly the kind of work I love doing! Creative color that feels intentional, unique, and a little unexpected. If you've been thinking about your own transformation and aren't sure where to start, that's exactly what a consultation is for.
