When natural is the request, I have the perfect set!

I tweaked my usual style a little to incorporate some of the tips from OLIVIA | LASH EDUCATOR + STYLING SPECIALIST at the class I took on Saturday. I absolutely love how this brown set turned out. The technique I used was a mix of classic and ghost style (tiny closed fans). This client has a lot of natural lashes so it was important not to overdo it and make the look too heavy.

It’s been a while since I took a lash training course but when trainer Olivia from OLIVIA | LASH EDUCATOR + STYLING SPECIALIST is coming from Calgary as part of a multi-province training circuit, I had to sign up!
Unfortunately her model had to cancel so we need someone who would like a very advanced lash set and is available this weekend!

Brown lashes are so in right now. They add a softness to any set, but can still make your eyes pop. They are especially beautiful on red-toned or light blonde hair, but anyone can wear them. You can even mix with black for added dimension!

Feather lashes and combo brows? Yes please!

I was so excited for today! This is one of my favourite clients and she gives me free rein to do whatever I want!!! My girl sent me an inspo pic of this set this morning and I really wanted to try it. I used feather lashes in C and CC curl alternated with closed fan spikes in matching curls, then I dropped a curl to B and C curls and 2-4mm of length and it’s some open fans to give that full lash line effect. I’m pretty pleased with the outcome. 😍

Oh and we also did a colour boost on her combo brows to get them all fresh for the summer! 😎

Saline Removal Results

This was just one session on brows that were over 7 years old. We will continue to work on these brows with a goal of as complete removal as possible.

Recently, I’ve been seeing more ladies who have old and over-saturated brows from years of touch ups (not by me). Once the skin is fully saturated with pigment, it cannot hold anymore and so colour corrections no longer work. The only option is removal.

As well as this, I see ladies who are no longer happy with the shape of their old brows (not done by me) and are wanting to “fix” it. The problem again, is that without removing the old shape, I am limited to working with what’s already there and sometimes that is not ideal.

I decided to start offering saline removal as an alternative to laser. Saline removal lifts pigment out of the skin rather than pushing it into the body like laser does.

The number of sessions required for complete removal will depend on the size and saturation of the area, so I recommend a consultation to make a plan.

Brow Touch up and Eyeliner Colour Boost!

Permanent makeup is a two-step process. The first session gets the shape and base colour, the second perfects them. Without the second session, your procedure is not complete. We completed these combo brows today, and at the same time, we did a colour boost on here eyeliner. A colour boost is a top-up for old permanent makeup. I did her eyeliner almost 4 years ago now so it was time!
