RESETTING the CANVAS•••

My client came in with banding and porosity issues from previous color.

This was my plan …
1-Neutralize the unwanted warmth
2- Add dimension back
3- Create a healthy workable base

Think of it as laying the foundation before the final polish.
We’ll keep refining and perfecting over the next sessions, but this first reset was key. We’re very Excited to see this evolve in our next sessions. 🖤

My “Blast from the past.”

Kerry and I go all the way back to junior high.
We hadn’t seen each other in close to 30 years, and recently we reconnected.
Now I get to have this stunning woman in my chair.
Kerry came to me after seeing my gray blending work. She was never interested in covering her gray - she wanted to embrace it from the start. She just wanted it to feel soft, blended, and intentional, while still looking completely like her.
This was our second gray blending appointment together, and our plan is simple, to work with what she has, not against it. We’re not trying to make her completely gray, and we’re not pretending the gray isn’t there either. We’re softly blending her natural silver into the rest of her color, adding dimension and letting everything evolve naturally. Aging gracefully doesn’t mean giving up on beautiful hair; it means embracing what’s naturally happening and making it feel polished, intentional, and gorgeous.
And seriously, could she be any more beautiful?!😍

MAHATTAN MIDNIGHT

One year of virgin growth and a soft, faded black on the ends, two totally different canvases. Before adding any dimension, the first step was creating one cohesive base. I custom-blended her natural regrowth to melt into those chocolatey ends, then layered in soft highlights for just a touch of brightness. We finished with a warm mocha tone that feels rich, seamless, and grows out beautifully. Shorter option, one year of regrowth and faded black meant starting with balance. We created one canvas first, then added soft dimension and a warm mocha gloss for a grow out that’s effortless.
