7️⃣ The perfect ending to the evening. From the studio window, I could hear the band continuing outside. You couldn’t even see them behind the trees, but later we saw a crowd of what looked like nearly 100 people gathered around them. Such a cool way to end the night.

Tomorrow’s market is organized by someone I’ve known and admired for years.

Chris is the talented woodworker behind the beautiful wooden and epoxy resin displays I use at my market booth — pieces that customers constantly admire. But what impresses me even more is his generosity and commitment to helping others.

Over the years, Chris has quietly sponsored more than 60 newly arrived Ukrainian families in Canada and has been a dedicated supporter of Ukraine since the beginning of the war, helping raise funds for both humanitarian and military causes.

Despite living with Parkinson’s disease, he continues to create, stay active, and bring people together. This market is a reflection of that spirit. Having seen firsthand how much work, time, and heart have gone into organizing it, I can honestly say it deserves support.

You’ll find local artists, makers, vendors, food, and plenty of great people to meet. More importantly, by attending, you’ll be supporting the initiative of someone who has spent years supporting others.
