Spent the day at Pineridge Hollow with my mother in law. We had a wonderful brunch and did some shopping. They had some beautiful set ups around the shops and these pumpkins made a great backdrop. I’m wearing Sage.

On this somber day of Truth and Reconciliation, I acknowledge that my ancestors came from Britain and Germany on the suffering of the indigenous people. I’m truly sorry, and I’m here to learn, and to listen. I’m here to do my part.
I’m wearing various Orange Shirt Day things made by local makers as previous fundraisers. I’m wearing a necklace by Blue Aura Design, my bracelets are from First Avenue Glow. I can’t remember which indigenous maker made my sweater, I’ve had it almost ten years now. I’m also wearing Caution on my nails.

Life lately is a dumpster fire. An absolute dumpster fire. Between the disgusting r*pists from Cornell University, the heavy emotions of Truth and Reconciliation tomorrow, just thinking of the horrible things our Canadian government did to the indigenous people. The pe*****le running a country I used to love south of me, it’s been a lot. It’s really affected my mental health and makes me feel powerless to do anything. His ridiculous tariffs are now affecting my company and I will have to pivot if I want to survive it. But I am a fighter and an advocator.
I will never stop using my platform to be a safe space and call out hate.
I’ve been spending my evenings lately burning candles, listening to audiobooks, painting my nails and sewing. These things ground me, help with my mental health. Things are tough lately, hang in there. I imagine a lot of you are feeling the way I do, it’s awful and we will get through it. Be kind to each other, be kind to yourself. You can’t take it all on by yourself either. One day at at a time.
I’m wearing Princess, it’s a pink that fills me with hope.

My husband’s friend had some extra tickets to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers game last night and invited my family to join him. It was my son’s first football game. The weather was perfect, it was such a fun night. Thank you John for inviting us! I of course had to wear Bombers colours so I did Starry Night and Garland

We’ve been having rainy weather here in Winnipeg. Which made me want to wear Seafoam. This bright teal brightened up my day.
Fun fact: this year I took up sewing this year and these pajamas are hand sewn. I made my family matching pajamas.
