One of the most common questions I get from students is:
“Do you fill every natural lash?”

The answer isn’t that simple.

When I begin a fresh set, one of the first things I assess is the client’s natural lash density. More often than not, one eye naturally has more lashes than the other.

That was exactly the case with this client.

She had noticeably fewer natural lashes on one side, along with a few sparse areas throughout the lash line. If I had applied extensions to every available lash on both eyes, one eye would have appeared a lot fuller than the other.

Instead, I customized the coverage.

The less-dense side received more coverage while the fuller side received less. This allowed me to create a finished result that looked balanced and symmetrical.

I also used reference points (the white dots visible on her eyelid) to guide where I wanted the longest lengths placed. Small details like this help create better symmetry and ensure the styling complements the client’s features.

Another common misconception is that gaps in the lash line are fixed by simply adding more lashes. In reality, strategic placement, layering and styling can often disguise sparse areas while still respecting the health of the natural lashes.

The finished result:
✨ Complements her features
✨ Maintains lash health
✨ Hides sparse areas
✨ Creates balanced density between both eyes
✨ Still looks like her

Because great lash extensions aren’t about applying the most extensions. They’re about creating the best result for the individual client.
