Story time! I cannot believe I got scammed!

This is your lesson to trust your gut when you have a feeling about something in the first place.

So I was scammed by LuxetattooAcademy on Instagram, name AaliyahAnthony on FB, and her personal Instagram is prettyyyy0pp

I booked an appointment on June 25, 2026. Sent my deposit. Had pre consultation messages and then waited till my appointment date. July 29, 2026 I went to the location she sent in our previous messages on Instagram. Parked outside the spot on Dufferin only to find no-one around. When I messaged the business Instagram account there was no answer. I waited 15 minutes and decided to phone the Instagram account. Immediately she replied … All of a sudden an 'assistant' forwarded me a screenshot stating out of office… and then replied saying the owner was off on an emergency and all appointments were on hold, with no return date.
Uhm no, you booked me when that notice was still up and took my money lady.

When I called out the fact that the owner was still taking bookings while claiming to be out of office, the assistant tried to gaslight me, stating that she just went on holidays and didn’t know when she would be back I have a screenshot of her page from June 25 to safeguard myself cause from the beginning I was getting weird vibes. That out of office signage was already there, she tried to say she just posted it.

I let her know that a friend of mine also had a booking for that day. She also tried to tell me that my friend, who also had bookings on the same day was already notified of a cancellation. But I have the screenshots, my friend was the one who had to reach out to HER to keep her aunt from driving in from out of province. On top of that, other clients in Aliyah’s comments are explicitly saying she has been rescheduling them for months while keeping their money.  She is also deliberately turning her comments off and deleting complaints from customers on her account.

To make matters worse, she advertises dates across multiple cities, Kelowna, Vancouver, Thunder Bay, and Winnipeg, and probably more, with zero clarity on where she actually is.. She posted about opening a shop in Thunder Bay back in 2024, but is actively messaging clients in different provinces giving 'available dates' all while taking non-refundable deposits and staying completely unreachable when clients show up at the door to fake addresses.

The “assistant” claimed they weren't authorized to issue refunds or access booking systems. I’ve sent a final demand message for my deposit refund by July 30th, and of course she hasn’t opened my messages since.

The whole thing is crazy. It is not only me she scammed. After doing some digging, so many other victims have come forward she did the same thing with them. Deposits taken for services she never intended to complete. So many people out of hundred of dollars. She has even dipped out on tattoo artists when she’s gotten work done. Clearly this is a pattern snd not just coincidence..

She has operated under multiple brand names from BlackHeartStudio to LuxeTattooBeautique to LuxeTattooAcademy

Please protect your money and do not trust this girl.
