On 31st July 2026, HealthiFirst was proud to be represented by three of our dedicated volunteers at the 2nd Edition of Preconception Care Day, organized by Talk Pregnancy with Dr Noella in Bamenda.
Held under the theme “Integrating Preconception Care into Routine Health Services,” the event brought together healthcare professionals, public health actors, students, community health workers, organizations, and other stakeholders to discuss an important aspect of maternal and reproductive health: preparing individuals and couples for healthy pregnancies before conception.
The discussions highlighted the importance of making preconception care a routine part of healthcare, strengthening screening and counselling, promoting multisectoral collaboration, and leveraging digital innovation and data to improve health outcomes.
As an organization committed to preventive healthcare and meaningful community engagement, we are pleased to have been part of this important conversation. We believe that improving maternal and newborn health begins before pregnancy, through timely information, prevention, counselling, and access to quality healthcare.
💙 We appreciate our three volunteers who represented HealthiFirst at the event:
Yopuku Fosi | Berinyuy | Ntengkeh Njeuhnui
Your presence and commitment continue to reflect the spirit of volunteerism and collaboration that drives our work.
Healthy beginnings, stronger generations. 💙

We are thrilled to celebrate Ndamtse, one of HealthiFirst’s outstanding executives, on her selection for the Cameroon Young Physicians Network (CAMYPNET) Health Impact Leadership Fellowship! 🌍🩺
This four-week virtual fellowship brings together young health professionals and enthusiasts to strengthen their skills in leadership, advocacy, innovation, entrepreneurship, digital health, and health impact.
Her selection is a beautiful recognition of her commitment to health, leadership, service, and creating meaningful change in our communities. 💙
We believe that when young health leaders are equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and networks, they can become powerful drivers of transformation.
We are proud to see one of our own taking this important step and representing HealthiFirst on a broader platform. 👏🏽✨
We celebrate this achievement with her and look forward to seeing the impact she will make through this fellowship.
Keep learning. Keep leading. Keep impacting. 💙

Some conversations have the power to change a life. Yesterday was one of them.
For many young people, menstruation is surrounded by silence, shame, and unanswered questions. But yesterday at New Life Baptist Church, Nitop, we chose a different conversation one rooted in knowledge, confidence, and dignity.
Through interactive discussions, practical demonstrations, and honest conversations, our teenagers, adolescents, and youths learned that menstruation is a normal part of life, not something to fear or be ashamed of. We talked about menstrual hygiene, debunked common myths, answered questions, and created a safe space where every participant felt seen and heard.
One of the highlights of the day was distributing reusable sanitary pads, ensuring that the lessons shared were matched with practical support. Because education is powerful, but education with the right resources is life-changing.
This outreach was made possible through the generous support of our sponsor, Cho Ngafor Cnfoundation Dorena Pads Initiative, whose donation of reusable sanitary pads and monetary support helped bring this vision to life. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to improving menstrual health and dignity in our communities.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to New Life Baptist Church, Nitop, for opening your doors and partnering with us to invest in the next generation.
To our incredible volunteers Komofor Nikeze , Ndamtse, Yopuku Fosi, and our SRH Hub Lead, Tatagheng Nora Apianyui, who coordinated and led the outreach, thank you for giving your time, energy, and hearts to serve. Your passion reminded us that meaningful change begins with people who are willing to show up.
Yesterday wasn't just about distributing pads. It was about restoring confidence, breaking stigma, and reminding every young person present that their health matters, their questions matter, and they deserve accurate information.
This is only the beginning. Together, we will continue creating healthier, more informed communities one conversation at a time. 💜🌍

"I will start living healthy when I get older." 👀
If you've ever said this, let me tell you something: healthy living is not for sick people, and it is not only for older adults. Healthy living is for everyone.
Many of the diseases we struggle with today, such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease, are linked to the choices we make every day. The good news is that small healthy habits can make a big difference.
🌟 Simple lifestyle hacks you can start today;
🥗 Eat more natural foods
Your body loves real food. Add more fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grains, and healthy proteins to your meals. Your plate should have more colors than your phone screen 😄.
💧 Drink enough water
Water helps your body function properly. Before reaching for that soft drink, ask yourself: "Have I taken enough water today?"
🚶🏽♀️ Move your body every day
You don't need an expensive gym membership. Walking, dancing, skipping, gardening, or even cleaning the house counts as physical activity. Just keep moving.
😴 Get enough rest
Your body needs time to recover. Aim for 7–9 hours of sleep every night. Rest is not laziness; it is part of healthy living.
😊 Protect your mental health
Not every argument deserves your attention. Not every problem deserves your peace. Learn to rest, pray, talk to someone you trust, laugh, and make time for things that bring you joy.
🚭 Avoid smoking and limit alcohol
Your lungs, liver, heart, and future self will thank you.
⚖️ Maintain a healthy weight
Healthy living is not about being skinny. It is about keeping your body strong and reducing your risk of disease.
👨🏽⚕️ Go for regular health check-ups
Don't wait until something hurts before seeing a health professional. Early detection saves lives.
❤️ Remember:
Healthy living is not about being perfect. It is about making better choices every day.
Your future health is being built by the choices you make today.
🌱 Live healthy.
❤️ Stay healthy.
✨ Age gracefully.

A young girl misses class because she’s on her period.
Another stays quiet in pain because she feels ashamed to speak about menstruation.
Someone else uses unsafe materials simply because sanitary products are out of reach.
For many girls, menstruation is still surrounded by silence, stigma, and struggle. But periods should never stop a girl from learning, growing, dreaming, or feeling confident.
This World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we are reminded that creating a better future for girls starts with something as simple as education, dignity, support, and access to safe menstrual hygiene products 🌸
At HealthiFirst, we continue to advocate for safe spaces where young girls can learn, ask questions freely, and manage their periods with confidence and dignity.
Because when we support menstrual health, we support education, confidence, health, and equality.
Together, we can build a world where no girl feels ashamed of a natural part of life 💚

Not every relationship that looks like love is healthy. Sometimes the warning signs are hidden in behaviors we ignore too easily 🚩
Love should feel safe, respectful, and supportive, not draining or controlling.
Some warning signs include:
❌ Constant jealousy or possessiveness
❌ Lack of trust
❌ Insults or disrespect
❌ Controlling who you talk to or where you go
❌ Fear of expressing yourself
❌ Manipulation or emotional pressure
A healthy relationship helps you grow, not lose yourself.
💬 What do you think is the biggest red flag in a relationship? 👇

Some conversations do more than educate people…
They heal, challenge perspectives, and create safe spaces where young people finally feel seen and heard.
That was exactly the atmosphere at the Youth and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Conference 2026, organised by Tosi's Mother and Child Health Foundation(TMCH) , and we are proud that Healthifirst was part of it 💙
As partners in this impactful program, we had the privilege of contributing not just as attendees, but also through our representatives and speakers who shared powerful insights throughout the event.
Claude Binyuy led an engaging session on menstruation, addressing both the physical and emotional realities girls experience during their cycles. From discussing mood swings and hormonal changes to challenging harmful myths and stigmas surrounding menstruation, the session reminded everyone that menstruation is natural, not something girls should be ashamed of or mocked for.
Our representative Pierra Lum also delivered a deeply relatable session on mental health, peer pressure, self-worth, and intentional relationships. One message that resonated strongly throughout the room was the importance of choosing environments and friendships that genuinely nurture growth and wellbeing. In a world where many young people struggle with comparison and the pressure to “fit in,” the conversation felt honest, necessary, and healing.
The discussions on sexual and reproductive health and peer-to-peer education further emphasized how important open conversations, parental guidance, and youth-friendly safe spaces are in shaping healthier communities.
At Healthifirst, we believe health goes beyond hospitals and medication. It also includes emotional wellbeing, education, dignity, confidence, community, and access to the right information.
We are grateful to Tosi’s Mother and Child Health for organising such a transformative initiative and for giving young people the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow.
Proud of our team members Tatagheng Nora Apianyui, Sangnyuy Sylvia, Ebua Collinsand Aseh Gobti who represented Healthifirst at the event 🤍
This is why we keep showing up.
Because sometimes, one honest conversation can change a life.
