What Causes Low Sp£rm Count?
Low sp£rm count (also called oligospermia) can make it harder for a couple to conceive. Here are common causes in simple terms:

🔹 Hormone imbalance – Low testosterone or other hormonal issues can affect sp£rm production.

🔹 Inf£ctions – S£xually transmitted inf£ctions like Chlamydia and Gonorrhea can damage sp£rm if not tr£.

🔹 Varicocele – Swollen veins in the sc***um that can affect sp£rm quality.

🔹 Smoking & alcohol – Too much can reduce sp£rm count and movement.

🔹 Heat exposure – Frequent hot baths, tight boxers, or placing laptops on the lap for long periods.

🔹 Poor diet – Lack of nutrients like zinc, folic acid, and antioxidants.

🔹 Stress – Long-term stress can affect hormones and sp£rm production.

🔹 Medical conditions – Diabetes, obesity, or previous surgeries in the reproductive area.

💡 The good news? In many cases, lifestyle changes and proper tr£ can improve sp£rm count.

If you’re trying to conceive and it’s taking longer than expected, both partners should get checked. F£rtility is a shared journey 🤍

HYDROS@LPINX

Hydros@lpinx is a condition where in the f@llopian tub£s are blocked, resulting in a collection of fluid.

F@llopian tub£s connect the ov@ries to the ut£rus. Therefore, any blockag£ in the f@llopian tubes can upset the normal functioning of the f£mal£ reproductive system.

If both the f@llopian tubes are affected, then the condition is known as hydros@lpinge

The f@llopian tubes are responsible for delivering the ov@rian £gg (ova) to the ut£rus during pr£gnancy. Therefore blocked f@llopian tubes can cause inf£rtility.

It is technically possible to get pr£gnant with one working fallopian tube, but pr£gn@ncy rates are lower in such cases. This is because of the adhesions and irritations caused by hydros@lpinx.

CAUSES
Hydros@lpinx is mostly caused due to infections known as p£lvic infl@mmatory dis£as£s.

Adhesions are a band of scar tissu£ which initially develops as a part of the human body’s repair mechanism in response to any tissue disturbances such as pr£vious surg£ries.

DAYS 25-28 OF YOUR M£NSTRUAL CYCLE

If the egg was not f£rtilized or impl@ntation does not occur, hoπmonal changes signal the ut£rus to prepare to shed its lining, and the egg breaks down and is shed along with lining.

The cycle begins again on Day 1 m£nstrual ble£ding.

WHY YOU MIGHT OVULATE WITHOUT PERIOD

✍️You have polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS)

PCOS is a condition that affects between 8% and 13% of reproductive-age women, which causes an imbalance in certain hormones. One of the common symptoms of people with PCOS is that they don’t always release an egg during a menstrual cycle (called anovulation). In fact, between 70% and 80% of women with PCOS are affected in this way.

✔️Irregular periods are another sign of PCOS, which is linked to a lack of ovulation. But it is possible that you could ovulate randomly after your period has taken a long break. In irregular cycles, you won’t know if or when. That’s because you would only get a period after the ovulation had happened. If you have PCOS and you want to get pregnant, don’t lose hope. Most women with the condition can still have a baby if they manage the condition with treatment, which can range from lifestyle changes to fertility packs. Speak to us and find out what’s best for you.

🪴You’ve recently given birth

It’s possible to ovulate as soon as three weeks after having a baby, although everyone’s bodies work at different paces. Because ovulation generally happens around two weeks before your period arrives, your first ovulation post-baby is likely to happen before you know your periods have returned. Reason why some women get pregnant a month or 2 after they give birth without planning.

🌾You have scar tissue in your uterus

In rare cases (usually due to a surgical procedure), scar tissue known as adhesions can build up in your uterus. This is called Asherman’s syndrome. Procedures it might arise from include dilation and curettage, which is done after a pregnancy loss or for a pregnancy termination, or the removal of fibroids. If this scarring blocks your cervix, it can stop period blood from flowing out, which is why you would either have had a light period or no period at all, but you may still have ovulated.
