If your client always says, “My hair colour never lasts...” tell them this 👇
✨ Hair colour naturally changes over time as colour molecules gradually wash out of the hair.
✨ Colour fade isn’t caused by just one thing. Frequent washing, heat styling, hard water, UV exposure and product build-up can all impact colour longevity.
✨ Cool tones fade faster than warm tones. Ash, pearl and icy pigments are typically less durable and require more maintenance to keep them looking fresh.
✨ Managing client expectations is key. The goal isn’t for colour to stay exactly the same until the next appointment, but for it to fade beautifully.
The more your clients understand why their colour changes, the more realistic their expectations will be between appointments. 🤍

The number one thing my clients ALWAYS tell me is how nicely the balayage has grown out.
This isn’t by accident. My biggest piece of advice for this would be to make sure you are doing your foil placements in sections. This will help your clients hair have a softer regrowth. Maintaining that softness at the roots whilst still trying to achieve as blonde as possible.
