Definition of Reiki

Reiki is a spiritual healing art. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. The session is performed by a Reiki Practitioner using specific Reiki hand positions. During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed while comfortably reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair. A Reiki session aids in stress reduction and it is almost always a very relaxing experience. Reiki sessions or classes are a great investment in your self.

Defining qualities of Reiki:
- A practice of transmitting healing energy through the hands
- Passed on through the attunement process
- The energy is not guided by the practitioner, but the energy has it's own innate wisdom to guide itself.

A Reiki session may help ease tension and stress and may help support the body to facilitate healing on all levels - physical, emotional and spiritual. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is most often utilized for one's own personal wellness, not just illness. A Reiki I class is a great gift to give to your self.

I used to be very sceptical about reiki-not any more! My son had very poor hearing after having two perforated ear drums, he was only 3years old. After being tested by a consultant, I was told that he would require to be operated on as he now had glue ear. His hearing test showed only 45per cent hearing. Obviously this was very worrying. Margaret Wright did reiki on two occasions - remarkable change after first session. My son (only 3 at the time). Said he experienced a "hot feeling". He was watching a video and seemed quite happy otherwise. Really, he was too young to know what was happening. After 2nd session it was obvious to everyone who knew him that hearing had improved immensely. As he already had a date for operation, I had to really fight to have him re tested. Apparently, this did not normally happen. New reading from hospital showed a massive improvement and he now had 90 per cent hearing. Operation was cancelled. Doctors could not explain it. They were very impressed!! He is now in his 20's and has perfect hearing-no problems at all. Margaret is very good at what she does. I would certainly recommend her.
