I was in two minds about sharing this, but recently after seeing the beautiful Megan Lineker post about her skin cancer, I finally got a strange looking spot checked that I’d been putting off. Only to receive the same diagnosis.

When I first saw the dermatologist, I was told it was just a mole and nothing to worry about. Luckily I had my gal Faye Browne | Balayage & Blonde Specialist with me, who insisted it be removed. 2 weeks later, I got the results, it was a basal cell carcinoma.

Thankfully, after two surgeries, all of the cancerous cells were removed. Because it was caught early, it was very treatable. Alongside biopsies from other areas.

Living and working in the sun, has thrown me out of my comfort zone. It’s made me so much more aware of protecting my skin and getting any new or unusual marks checked pronto.

This is no means a post to scare anyone but I think it’s way more common than we are aware. If you’re putting off getting something looked at because you think it’s probably nothing, it’s always worth a check. 🤍
