TikTok says tap here, breathe there, regulated in ten seconds.

Real bodies don't work like that!

Your shoulders have been up by your ears for so long they've forgotten they're allowed to come down. That doesn't unwind in a ten-second clip, no matter how satisfying the audio is.

A Rosen Method session is gentle touch, honest conversation and real attention, given enough time to actually land. Not a hack. Not a quick fix. Slow, honest, and it works.

So ask yourself right now: jaw, shoulders, stomach, what are you holding that you've stopped noticing?

This isn't mystical. It's just honest attention, paid to a body that's been carrying things for a long time.

Curious what an actual session feels like? Message me, no pressure, I'll talk you through exactly what it involves before you decide anything.

At 21, I was backpacking through India and Nepal when I picked up amoebic dysentery, then a viral illness that turned into reactive arthritis. I couldn’t walk properly. My body just stopped working the way it always had.
That was the moment everything changed.

A complete rebuild of what I was eating, and a very different mental attitude got me back on my feet, properly this time, not just patched up.

Everything I eat now traces back to that year. Not restriction, not rules for the sake of rules, just food that actually supports a body that’s working hard to heal and stay well.

This is a small window into what that looks like day to day. It’s the same thinking behind my 21 Day Detox, food, mindset and the stuff most people skip, working together instead of against each other.

I do this at 60 so I can still do this at 80.

That’s not about how the pose looks. It’s about whether I can still get up off the floor on my own, still carry my shopping up the hill, still chase after whoever needs chasing, long after it stops being a given.

Strength and balance aren’t things you either have or don’t. They’re things you keep choosing, a little bit, most days. This is me choosing it.

What are you doing today so you can still do it tomorrow?

Your nervous system doesn’t know the difference between a deadline and a predator ⏰ 🐅
That’s not a metaphor, it’s just how ancient this wiring is!

A tight inbox and a genuine threat can trigger the exact same alarm bells in your body, and most of us are walking around switched on far more often than we realise.

The tools to actually calm it down aren’t new either. They just take time, presence, and someone who’s done the work long enough to hold space for yours.

That’s what a Rosen Method session is, underneath all of it.

If you’re curious what that actually looks like, drop a comment or send me a message.

60 seconds to ease hip and lower back tension.

If you’ve been sitting for hours, driving, working at a desk or you just feel a bit stiff through the hips and lower back, try these with me.

Nothing complicated. No equipment. Just a few simple movements to get things moving and help release some of that built-up tension.

You don’t always need a full workout or an hour-long yoga class. Sometimes a minute of movement is enough to make you feel a little better.

Save this one for later and come back to it when your hips or lower back are feeling tight.

Persistent. Consistent. Grateful.

Three words I try to bring to my mat, and honestly, to everything else too 🤍

The getting is the exciting part. The keeping is the quiet, unglamorous bit — showing up again on the days it feels like nothing's changing. And the gratitude is what turns "I have to practise" into "I get to."

Your body remembers what you repeat. So does your nervous system.

Where are you being consistent this week, even in a small way? Tell me below 👇

Balance isn't just a leg workout. It's a brain one.

Every time you wobble your way into tree pose (or half moon, or eagle) your brain is doing quiet, serious work: memory, attention, quick thinking, all the same circuits, all firing at once. Train the wobble and you're training all of it.

And it matters more as we get older. Studies have found that people with stronger balance tend to have a lower risk of dementia down the line, and that yoga practitioners show more grey matter in the brain regions behind memory and thinking. Balance also happens to be one of the simplest, most trainable ways to help prevent the kind of fall that can affect brain health too.

So next time you're wobbling through tree pose, know it's not a sign you're doing it wrong. It's the whole point.

Balance-focused sessions available, in person or woven into your existing practice. DM me to ask, or to book a time. 🧘‍♀️

When we were little, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" always got answered with a job. Teacher. Pilot. Lawyer. Architect. As if the whole point of growing up was landing on a title.
Nobody ever asked us how we wanted to feel.

Happy. Healthy. Free. Loving. Kind. Adventurous. Those were never on the list, but they're the only answers that actually matter now.
This is what yoga and Rosen Method are really about for me. Not another job title, not another box to tick, just coming back to who you actually want to be underneath all of it.

So if someone asked you today, not what do you do, but how do you want to feel... what would you say?

I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by some genuinely wonderful people on that mat. Beginners who swore they’d never do yoga in their life. Women getting back into their bodies after years away from anything like this. People who can’t touch their toes and couldn’t care less.

We practice together. Nobody’s chasing the perfect pose, nobody’s comparing themselves to the person next to them. You show up, you do what your body can do today, and you leave a little better than you walked in.

That’s it. That’s the whole practice.
