Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. Miss World is the oldest existing major international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since Morley's death in 2000, his widow, Julia Morley, co-chairs the pageant. Miss Universe is an annual international beauty contest that is run by the Miss Universe Organization.[7][8][9] The contest was founded in 1952 by California clothing company Pacific Mills. The pageant became part of Kayser-Roth and then Gulf+Western Industries, before being acquired by Donald Trump in 1996 and is currently owned by WME/IMG. Miss International, also called "Miss International Beauty" is a Tokyo-based international beauty pageant organized by The International Culture Association. The pageant was first held in 1960. Miss Earth is an annual international environmental-themed beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness organized by Philippine-based Carousel Productions through the Miss Earth Foundation and was first held in 2001. The pageant is affiliated and works on projects with other institutions, including Greenpeace, World Wildlife Foundation, and United Nations Environment Program. Miss Supranational is an annual international beauty pageant created by Gerhard Parzitkavon Lipinski in Poland and organized by Panama-based World Beauty Association (WBA)through the Miss Supranational and was first held in 2009. Miss Grand is an annual international beauty pageant also called as "Miss Grand International created by Nawat Itsaragrisil in Thailand and Miss Grand International was first held in 2013.

• Lalela Mswane (South Africa): Stood on stage with Harnaaz as the 2nd Runner-Up at Miss Universe 2021, but crossed over just seven months later to win Miss Supranational 2022.
2.The Miss Universe 2016 Sisters (Universe & Supranational and MGI)
• Iris Mittenaere (France): Won the main crown of Miss Universe 2016.
• Jenny Kim (South Korea): Shared the stage with Iris (unplaced, won Miss Congeniality), but went on to win Miss Supranational 2017 the very next year.
• Jihan Dimack (Tanzania) originally competed as a direct pageant batchmate sister alongside Iris Mittenaere and Jenny Kim during the Miss Universe 2016 she went unplaced that year. A full decade later, she returned to global pageantry and was crowned Miss Grand International 2026.
3. The Miss World 2016 Sisters (World & Universe)
• Stephanie Del Valle (Puerto Rico): Won the crown of Miss World 2016
• Catriona Gray (Philippines): Competed as Stephanie's direct batchmate sister (finishing in the Top 5) before crossing over to win Miss Universe 2018.
4. The Miss Universe 1979 Sisters (Universe & World)
• Maritza Sayalero (Venezuela): Won Miss Universe 1979.
• Gina Swainson (Bermuda): Finished as the 1st Runner-Up right behind Maritza at Miss Universe, then traveled to London a few months later and won Miss World 1979.
5. The Miss World 2017 Sisters (World & Universe)
• Manushi Chhillar Miss World 2017.
• Andrea Meza at the Miss World 2017 pageant, and finished as the 1st Runner-Up and crossed over to the rival pageant network and successfully claimed the ultimate title as Miss Universe 2020.
