I genuinely cannot believe I’m writing this… I have been named Highly Commended in the STEM category at the Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2026.

To receive this recognition in such prestigious national awards means so much to me, particularly in a category that celebrates science, technology, engineering and innovation.

Behind every Skin Formulas product is an incredible amount of research, science, formulation, testing and innovation. We obsess over ingredients, technologies and how they work with the skin, continually pushing ourselves to create formulas that genuinely deliver for our customers.

So to have that work recognised within STEM feels incredibly special.

I am so proud to have represented Network Ireland Tipperary, my incredible team at Skin Formulas, and everything we are building together.

And perhaps what makes tonight even more poignant is being back in Galway, having stood at the Network Ireland National Awards in 2018 and won nationally in the SME category. To return eight years later with an established, growing and scaling brand, and to now be recognised for the science and innovation at the heart of that brand, feels like such a full-circle moment.

This recognition belongs to the entire Skin Formulas team. To everyone who researches, develops, tests, questions, improves and cares so deeply about every formula we create.

And, of course, to our customers and stockists who continue to trust us with their skin and support this Irish brand, thank you.

I’m incredibly proud to be representing Network Ireland Tipperary as a national finalist in the STEM category of the Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2026.

Being back here at the Galmont in Galway feels particularly special.

In 2017, I stood here at the beginning of my Skin Formulas journey and was incredibly fortunate to win the National SME Businesswoman of the Year Award.

Nine years later, I’m back, but this time representing an established, growing and scaling Irish skincare brand in the STEM category.

There’s something quite emotional about that.

So much has happened between those two moments. Years of building, learning, taking risks, making mistakes, innovating, growing a team and continually pushing the boundaries of what we can create with Skin Formulas.

To now be recognised for the science, innovation and work behind our brand feels like such an achievement, and I feel genuinely privileged to be here representing Tipperary on the national stage.

Wishing every single finalist the very best of luck tonight. It’s an incredible achievement to be here, and I’m so looking forward to celebrating so many brilliant women from across Ireland.

Just arrived at the Network Ireland National Conference 2026 in Galway.

And even nicer to be here with Laura Howard, Laura Howard who will officially be joining the Skin Formulas team in October as our new Head of Retail & Commercial Partnerships. An exciting new chapter for us as we continue to grow and scale the brand.

Today, I’ll be speaking on a panel about female entrepreneurship, sharing some of my own experiences of building and growing Skin Formulas, before representing Network Ireland Tipperary in the STEM category at the National Businesswoman of the Year Awards later this evening.

I’ve been part of Network Ireland for 11 years, and days like today are always a reminder of how powerful it is to be surrounded by ambitious, supportive women in business.

Feeling very proud to represent Tipperary today, very excited for what’s ahead for Skin Formulas.

This morning I had the pleasure of attending the beautiful launch of SISTERLY newest product, The Booster and I left feeling genuinely energised and inspired.

Hearing the story behind the brand, their growth, their why, and the thought and care that goes into what they’re creating really resonated with me.

As a founder, I found myself listening and thinking about just how aligned so many of our values are. Building a brand when you truly care about the person at the other end of the product is about so much more than growth. It’s about the choices you make along the way, how you treat people, how you consider the planet, the community you build around you, and staying connected to the reason you started in the first place.

Getting to spend the morning reconnecting with some incredible women I’ve known through business for many years, sharing conversations, ideas and experiences, was such a lovely reminder of how important these moments of connection are.

Congratulations to the entire Sisterly team on another beautiful milestone.
