Yesterday, as the world celebrated Global Wellness Day, I was reminded that wellness is not simply a profession for me; it is a personal commitment and a lifelong mission.

I believe that true wellness goes far beyond physical health. It encompasses our mental wellbeing, emotional resilience, relationships, purpose, environment, and the joy we choose to embrace every day.

As the founder of Elite Wellness Consultancy, I am committed to raising the standard of wellness in Zimbabwe and across Africa. My vision is to help individuals become well in every area of their lives and to support organizations in creating cultures where wellness is not an event or a checkbox, but a way of life.

This year’s Global Wellness Day theme, , reminds us that joy, connection, and wellbeing are found in the simple moments around us. Wellness should be visible in how we live, how we work, how we lead, and how we serve others. We should be able to see the joy in every day.

What an incredible privilege it was to travel from Zimbabwe to Paris France 🇫🇷 to attend Forum HOTel & SPA 2026, one of the world’s leading gatherings for hospitality, wellness, and spa professionals.

Over the past few days, I had the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, innovators, wellness experts, and hospitality pioneers who are shaping the future of our profession. The conversations were inspiring, thought-provoking, and a powerful reminder that wellness is no longer a luxury—it is becoming an essential part of how people live, work, travel, and experience life.

One of my biggest takeaways was the growing focus on longevity, personalized wellness journeys, and the importance of creating meaningful human connections in an increasingly technology-driven world. While innovation and AI continue to transform our industry, the consensus was clear: the human touch remains at the heart of exceptional wellness experiences.

I was particularly inspired by discussions around the future of spa and wellness businesses, the evolving expectations of clients, and the opportunities available to wellness professionals who are willing to embrace change, continuous learning, and global best practices.

As the Founder of Elite Wellness Consultancy , I return home energized, motivated, and excited to bring these insights back to Zimbabwe and the wider Southern African market.
