The Jealous Friend Who Stole Her Best Friend’s Baby
(Short Story)
In a peaceful village outside Lagos, Nigeria, lived two inseparable best friends: Amara and Kemi. Everyone admired their friendship. They grew up together, attended the same schools, and promised that nothing would ever separate them.
But life took different paths.
Amara married a hardworking businessman named David, and after years of trying, she finally became pregnant. The whole community celebrated because everyone knew how much she had prayed for a child.
Kemi smiled in public, but inside, jealousy burned like fire.
She was still unmarried, struggling financially, and secretly wished she had the happy family Amara had.
When baby Hope was born, Amara trusted Kemi completely. She allowed her to babysit, feed the baby, and even stay in their home whenever she wanted.
One afternoon, while Amara was resting after a long night with the baby, Kemi quietly carried little Hope outside.
“I’ll just take her for some fresh air,” she whispered.
But she never came back.
Hours turned into panic.
The family searched everywhere. The police, neighbors, churches, and markets joined the search, but there was no sign of Kemi or the baby.
Months passed.
Amara cried every day, refusing to give up hope.
Meanwhile, Kemi had traveled to another state, pretending Hope was her own daughter. She forged documents and built a new life, believing no one would ever discover the truth.
Seven years later…
Hope had grown into a bright little girl. One day at school, her teacher asked every child to bring their birth certificate for a school competition.
The fake documents Kemi had created raised questions.
Authorities began investigating.
A DNA test was ordered.
The shocking truth came out.
Hope was not Kemi’s daughter.
She was Amara’s missing child.
Police arrested Kemi immediately.
In court, she finally confessed through tears.
“I was jealous… I wanted the life she had. I convinced myself that if I couldn’t have my own happiness, I would take hers.”
The courtroom fell silent.
Amara hugged her daughter tightly after seven painful years apart. Mother and daughter cried in each other’s arms as the entire courtroom watched with tears.
Kemi was sentenced to prison for kidnapping, document forgery, and child trafficking-related offenses.
As she was led away in handcuffs, she looked back one last time.
She had stolen a child…
But in the end, she lost her freedom.
Moral of the story:
Jealousy can destroy lives. Celebrate the success and blessings of others, because what is meant for you will never require you to steal from someone else.

Title:The Heart of Men
In the bustling city of Lagos, lived a beautiful, hardworking young woman named Amara. She believed in true love, honesty, and family. Despite being admired by many men, all she wanted was one man who would love her sincerely.
Then she met David, a charming businessman who treated her like a queen. He called every morning, bought her flowers, prayed with her, and promised marriage. Everyone around them believed they were the perfect couple.
Six months later, David proposed.
Amara said yes with tears of joy.
Wedding preparations began immediately. Friends and family celebrated. She thanked God for finally bringing her soulmate.
But unknown to Amara…
David had another family in Abuja—a wife and two children.
He had hidden them for years.
Just two weeks before the wedding, a woman arrived at Amara’s workplace carrying two little children.
“I am David’s wife,” she said quietly.
The world stood still.
Amara laughed in disbelief.
“No… my David would never do this.”
The woman handed her wedding photos, birth certificates of the children, and years of family pictures.
Amara’s heart shattered.
When David arrived, he fell to his knees.
“I was going to tell you after the wedding,” he cried.
“You were going to tell me… after making me your second wife?” Amara asked through tears.
David begged for forgiveness.
“I love both of you.”
Those words pierced Amara’s soul.
She removed her engagement ring and dropped it into his trembling hands.
“I deserve a man whose heart belongs to only one woman.”
She walked away.
Months passed.
Life was not easy.
She cried many nights.
But instead of allowing heartbreak to destroy her, Amara started a small skincare business with her savings. She worked tirelessly, turning late nights into early mornings.
Three years later…
Her business had become one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing beauty brands.
One afternoon, during a charity event, she met Daniel, a widowed doctor known for his kindness and humility.
Unlike David, Daniel never made empty promises.
He showed love through respect, consistency, and honesty.
He became a father figure to orphaned children and treated Amara with genuine care.
When he proposed, he said only one sentence:
“I cannot promise you a perfect life, but I promise you a truthful heart.”
This time…
Amara smiled with peace instead of fear.
They married quietly, surrounded by family and prayers.
Years later, they built schools for underprivileged children and inspired thousands of women never to settle for lies disguised as love.
Meanwhile…
David lost both his marriage and his business after years of dishonesty.
One rainy afternoon, he saw Amara speaking at a women’s empowerment conference.
She looked happier than he had ever seen her.
He whispered to himself,
“I lost the best woman because I couldn’t be an honest man.”
As he walked away in the rain, he finally understood a painful truth:
A man’s greatest strength is not wealth or charm—it is the honesty of his heart.
The End.

The Billionaire Who Pretended to Be Poor
Ethan Alexander was one of the richest men in Europe. At just thirty-four, he owned luxury hotels, technology companies, and private islands. His name appeared on magazine covers, but very few people knew what he truly looked like because he preferred to stay out of the spotlight.
Despite his success, Ethan had one thing money couldn’t buy—genuine love.
Every relationship he had ended the same way. Women were fascinated by his wealth, his mansion, his expensive cars, and the glamorous lifestyle. But whenever he wondered, Would she still love me if I had nothing? he never found an answer.
One evening, after another broken engagement, his elderly grandmother smiled and said, “If you want someone to love your heart, stop introducing your wallet first.”
Her words stayed with him.
The following month, Ethan handed the day-to-day running of his businesses to his trusted executives. He rented a tiny apartment in a quiet town, bought secondhand clothes, and found work as a maintenance assistant at a local community center. No one knew he was worth billions.
Life changed overnight.
Some people ignored him. Others barely greeted him. A few even looked down on him because of his worn-out shoes and old bicycle.
But one person treated him differently.
Her name was Grace.
Grace worked at the town library during the day and volunteered every evening at the community center. She wasn’t rich. She lived with her widowed mother and dreamed of opening a free reading center for children.
Every morning she greeted Ethan with the same warm smile.
“Good morning, Ethan. Have you eaten today?”
She often shared her homemade lunch with him, even though she didn’t have much herself.
One rainy afternoon, Ethan slipped while fixing a broken pipe. Grace rushed over, helped him up, cleaned his bruised hands, and laughed.
“You really should let someone help you once in a while.”
He smiled.
“I’m not used to people helping me.”
She replied, “Everyone deserves kindness.”
Months passed, and their friendship slowly became something deeper.
Grace admired Ethan because he was humble, hardworking, and compassionate. Ethan fell in love with Grace’s generous heart.
Still, he feared telling her the truth.
One day, Ethan invited Grace to what he claimed was a business meeting.
A black luxury car arrived.
Grace looked confused.
When they reached the city, the car stopped in front of a magnificent skyscraper.
Employees lined up outside.
The moment Ethan stepped out, hundreds of executives greeted him.
“Welcome back, Mr. Alexander.”
Grace froze.
She turned to him.
“Who… are you?”
Ethan looked into her eyes.
“My name is Ethan Alexander. I own this company… and many others. I was afraid no one would ever love me for who I really am, so I pretended to be poor.”
Grace’s eyes filled with tears.
“You lied to me.”
“I did,” Ethan admitted. “Not because I wanted to hurt you, but because I wanted to know if someone could love the man before the money.”
She remained silent.
“I understand if you never forgive me.”
Grace walked away.
For weeks Ethan heard nothing from her.
He realized that even if she never returned, meeting her had taught him that honesty mattered as much as love.
One afternoon there was a knock at his office door.
Grace stood there holding the lunch container she used to bring him.
“I’ve been thinking,” she said softly. “You were wrong to hide the truth. But during all those months, I didn’t fall in love with your money. I fell in love with the man who fixed broken chairs, helped children carry books, and treated everyone with respect.”
Ethan smiled.
“So… can we start over? This time with no secrets?”
She nodded.
“No secrets.”
A year later, they married in a simple garden ceremony instead of a lavish palace wedding.
Instead of asking guests for expensive gifts, they requested donations to build a library for underprivileged children.
Years later, when journalists asked Grace what it felt like to marry one of the world’s richest men, she smiled and answered,
“I didn’t marry a billionaire. I married the man who rode an old bicycle to work every morning. The billionaire was just a bonus

The Love of Money
In a quiet town lived a young woman named Clara. She was beautiful, intelligent, and hardworking, but she had one flaw—she loved money more than anything else. To Clara, every friendship had a price, every favor required payment, and every decision was based on how much money she could gain.
When people asked for help, she would smile and say, “What’s in it for me?”
Her parents often warned her, “Money is a useful servant but a terrible master.”
Clara ignored them. She dreamed of becoming the richest person in town.
One day, an elderly woman came to Clara’s shop. She looked tired and hungry.
“Could you spare me a loaf of bread?” the old woman asked softly. “I have no money today, but I’ll repay your kindness someday.”
Clara crossed her arms.
“No money, no bread,” she replied. “Kindness doesn’t pay my bills.”
The old woman sighed and walked away.
Months passed, and Clara’s wealth grew. She bought expensive clothes, jewelry, and a grand house. Yet she had no true friends. People visited only when they needed business. When the shop closed, the house felt silent and empty.
Then disaster struck.
A fire broke out in the marketplace and spread quickly. Clara’s shop burned to the ground. Most of her savings had been kept inside, and they were destroyed.
For the first time, Clara needed help.
She knocked on doors, asking neighbors for food and a place to stay. Many remembered how she had refused to help them when they were struggling.
“We’re sorry,” they said. “You never showed us kindness.”
Clara sat alone, realizing that all the money she had once treasured could not buy loyalty, friendship, or compassion.
As she wept, the same elderly woman appeared.
“I remember you,” Clara whispered, ashamed.
The woman smiled kindly.
“Everyone deserves a second chance.”
She offered Clara food and a place to stay.
Overwhelmed by the woman’s generosity, Clara asked, “Why would you help someone who turned you away?”
The old woman replied, “Because kindness is worth more than gold.”
From that day forward, Clara changed. She rebuilt her shop, but this time she set aside food for those who could not afford it. She treated customers with respect, gave to charities, and helped neighbors without expecting anything in return.
Her business prospered again, but this time something else grew alongside her wealth—love, friendship, and respect.
Clara finally understood that money could make life comfortable, but only kindness could make life meaningful.
Moral: Money is important, but when the love of money becomes greater than love for people, it can leave a person rich in wealth but poor in happiness. True riches come from generosity, compassion, and a good heart
