So… I thought it was time to reintroduce myself.

My name is Basia, although most people know me as Barbara. Some call me Babs, some Barbs — and honestly, I answer to all of them. 😂

For many years, I couldn’t seem to find something I wanted to do for long. I had lots of different jobs, but I never really stayed anywhere for very long.

Until I discovered doing nails.

And completely unexpectedly, it turned out to be incredibly therapeutic and calming for my restless soul and my overthinking brain.

There’s something about the repetition and predictability of doing nails that I absolutely love. After more than a decade of doing this, surprises are actually pretty rare — which is exactly how I like it. 😂

I’m definitely not one of those people who would happily sit on the other side of the desk. I need to be doing something. Sitting still for too long would probably drive me insane.

But put me behind the desk with a set of nails in front of me and I completely disappear into this almost robotic flow.

The only real variable is the person sitting on the other side of the desk.

So I guess I’m simply the right person in the right place. 😂

Outside the salon, I’m a mum, a partner, a cat mum and a plant lady.

I’m incredibly proud of my son, who is growing into such a wonderful, kind and sensitive young man.

I love my partner, who has always stood by me and supported me through everything.

I love my cats. I love my plants.

I love football — both as a fan and as a player.

I love my little corner of the world, and I genuinely like my life.

And I like you lot too. ❤️

Starting next week, from 21st September, I’ll be offering evening appointments twice a week.

Tuesdays & Thursdays — I’ll be working until 8pm.

So if you find it difficult to fit your nail appointment in during the day, you’ll now have a couple of later options to choose from.

Evening appointments are available to book from next week.
