This lady wasn’t quite ready to go for a full grey blend, but she was sick of that constant line of regrowth that made her feel like she needed to cover it up every few weeks.
So, rather than jumping straight into a full grey transformation, we started her journey by simply lightening out that dark colour.
Jenina did a full head of highlights, but only through the previously coloured hair, her natural regrowth was completely untouched.
And already, look at the difference! 🤍
Her natural roots are beginning to look more blended, more intentional, and she’s starting to embrace what’s naturally there. 😊
It doesn’t always have to be an all or nothing decision.
Sometimes, the first step is simply making that grow out feel a little easier. 🩶

This is such a cool trick if you love playing around with different colours in your hair! 🔥
You don’t always have to reach for the bleach to create a whole new look. These flashes were created using extensions, and honestly…you would never know?! 👀
The best bit? You can work with your stylist to decide exactly where you want your flashes to sit, and they can be changed up next time for a completely different look.
This is the second time this lady has had these colours, but this time we switched up the placement, giving her a whole new vibe without adding any extra damage to her own hair. 💥
Colour doesn’t always have to be permanent to make an impact! ✨

When you can’t see where the natural hair ends and the colour starts… 🤩
This lady had been growing out her grey since February, and she didn’t want to waste all that new growth by colouring over it.
So instead, we mimicked what was happening naturally, but ONLY from the existing coloured hair down. 🤍
The result… A completely seamless blend that works with the natural grey, rather than covering it.

This is your little reminder that we CLOSE on Mondays during the school holidays so our team can spend quality time with their families. 🫶🏻
Although… I’m not sure how much longer we’ll be able to use that as an excuse 😆 because LOOK how old they’re all getting! 😩
But this is something that has always been really important to us at The Look.
We’re a salon full of working mums, and we’ve always believed that you shouldn’t have to choose between having a career and having a family,
So, when the school holidays come around, we make a few changes to our usual salon hours to give our team that precious time with their children ❤️
Because building a career is important… but so are the moments you don’t get back 🫶🏻

Full saturation, balayage packets slightly away from the root
Lifted to a level 5, that’s all we needed to show the brightness of a crazy colour ❤️
All finished with a curl to show it off to its full potential 😍
