Let’s talk about our Ellie 😆

Ellie decided to use a certain ai app to change her hair colour, impulsively took a lil midnight trip to Tesco on Tuesday to buy some cherry cola BOX DYE and DIY’d it at home 😱🤬🤯 (yes, your eyes do not deceive you, she done the ultimate betrayal, even worse than using £1 Alberto Balsam shampoo and conditioner 🙄) few hours later she had stunning purple roots, and a red toned 24” weave (RIP weavey)… a further 24hours later she was close to tears coz she hated it (I mean we did tell her continually that she f**k*d up 😆😆) Then on a solid 11 hour day yesterday between clients we done a little colour correction, I stripped it, and Amanda coloured it, then I finished it off today with some multi tonal tapes to give the cutest pop of colour. Teamwork 🤝🏽✨

But omg Ellie, you are BANNED from changing your colour for the next year 😆😆

And the moral of the story… Do not use apps to change your hair colour, they lie 😆😆😆

Okay so hair-up is my full new personality 🥰 cutesy lil updo, with a lil help from the girls in the salon when my spaghetti arms couldn’t reach the back 😆 although obvs there’s no actual pics of it since my photographer only managed 1 nice pic from 2641 ( 👀)

When this lovely lady first came to me a few months back, her hair was so damaged and compromised, so I corrected it as best I could without causing any further damage. We chatted through her options and I advised keeping bleach to an absolute minimum because, first and foremost, as the integrity of the hair will always be my priority🤍 We even toyed with the idea of going darker… but she wasn’t ready.

Next appointment we tried again, but again, bleach was kept minimal. Then she decided to try somewhere else - which is absolutely fine, no hard feelings and all that 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 in her words ‘she went somewhere she knew would use bleach without questions’ and like she knew, bleach was used and her hair became even more compromised and eventually broke off.

And that was the point she decided… ENOUGH.

She realised she was never going to be happy trying to maintain her blonde while her hair was in that condition, so she took the leap and said goodbye to her LOOOONG blonde locks and hello to some stunnnnning brunette ones🤎 WOWZA Look at the difference 😍

We will be working together over the next few months, focusing on keeping the hair healthy, maintaining the colour and watching that gorgeous natural hair come back.

Right… extension girlies, this one’s for you 📣🤍

I know life gets busy, and I know when your extensions still look okay it’s tempting to think

‘A couple more weeks won’t hurt.’👀

But this is where I have to get strict

Your natural hair grows around ½ an inch every month, so even if everything still looks fine on the outside, underneath your extensions are moving further away from the scalp

That extra growth means more weight on your natural hair, which can lead to tangling, matting, unnecessary breakage and extensions that just don’t feel as comfortable anymore

✨ Weaves should be tightened every 6 - 8 weeks

✨ Nanos every 8 - 10 weeks maximum

Regular maintenance keeps your natural hair healthy, your extensions comfortable, and helps your hair last so much longer. After all, you’ve invested in them, so let’s look after them properly 🤍

A little maintenance now can save you a lot of hassle (and money 💸) later.

Just a little update… 🤍

I’ve now added an 11+ week Nano Refit option to my booking system.

Why? Because appointments over 10 weeks almost always take longer. The extra regrowth means there’s usually more tangling and matting to work through, so I need to allow enough time to remove, section and refit everything properly without rushing

There will also now be a surcharge for matted extensions

Not because I’m trying to punish anyone 😂, but because removing matting can add a significant amount of time to your appointment, and I need to account for that extra work

The easiest (and cheapest 😉) way to avoid this is simply by keeping on top of your maintenance appointments

Your extensions are an investment… let’s look after them properly🤍🪄
