Firstly, I just want to apologise for being so quiet on here. I know I should have posted this sooner, but honestly I haven’t had a minute to think.

This will be my last week working at Marie Walker Hair Salon. It was only decided last week, and with everything going on behind the scenes, I just haven’t had the chance to update everyone.

I also wanted to explain why I’ve been so absent. Sadly, my beautiful gran passed away yesterday. As you can imagine, my focus has been entirely on my family, so social media has been the last thing on my mind.

The photo I’m sharing is of my gran’s hair. She had never coloured her hair in her life, and I was so honoured that she trusted me to give her a few subtle highlights. It’s something I’ll treasure forever. ❤️

This isn’t goodbye from me at all! I’ll still be doing hair, and I’m so excited to share what’s next. We’re just sorting out all the little details, and everything will be revealed in the next few days. All existing appointments will be transferred over, so you won’t need to worry.

This is our 3rd blonding session together, and seeing the progress from black box dye to this soft, dimensional blonde is so satisfying. Good blonde is a journey, and taking it slowly is what keeps the hair healthy while achieving the end goal. ✨
My client loves keeping a little bit of her natural root, so I used one of my favourite foiling techniques. By working with her own natural regrowth, there’s no need for a root tap or root melt afterwards. The result? A beautifully blended blonde that grows out seamlessly with no harsh lines and much lower maintenance between appointments. 🙌

Something I often do for my clients to help them feel more comfortable…
If your headpiece comes attached to a headband, I always check with you first, but I can carefully remove it from the band and pin it directly into your hair instead.
No more sore ears from wearing a tight headband all day, and no more trying to wrestle it out at the end of the night while ruining your hair! 🙌
It sits more securely, feels so much more comfortable, and when it’s time to take it out, it’s as simple as removing a few pins.

This lovely client has been coming to me for almost 4 years now, following me from my days as a junior stylist all the way through to becoming self-employed. 🩷
