Turning 36 has definitely made me pay more attention to my own face 😳

As lucky as I feel to be healthy, happy and getting older 🤍 I’ve started noticing those subtle signs of ageing slowly creeping in.

A little less definition through my jawline, early jowling and changes in the volume and support I once naturally had.

💉 Quick tip

One thing I often notice during lip treatments is that clients naturally purse their lips tightly together.

For better control and precision, the lip needs to stay as relaxed as possible. A simple trick I use is asking the client to gently hold the needle cap between their teeth. This helps prevent them from pursing their lips and allows me to see exactly how far I’m lifting the tissue with the needle.

The result? Better visualisation, a more controlled lift, and more consistent placement. 🤍

Have you been topping up your lips time and time again, yet your lip shape never seems to improve?

Does the filler disappear quickly, your lips seem to be getting smaller, and no matter how much filler you have, you’re still not achieving the look you want?

This is often a sign that the technique being used isn’t working for your lips.

As we age, the philtrum (the area between the nose and upper lip) naturally lengthens. If filler is repeatedly placed using the same standard technique, it can begin to migrate upwards instead of continuing to define the lip border and create shape.

Over time, this migrated filler can add weight above the lip, pushing the natural lip downwards. The result? A longer looking philtrum, less definition, protrusion, and lips that appear stretched rather than youthful.

This lovely client came to me asking for more filler because she felt she wasn’t achieving any shape anymore.

After assessing her lips, I explained that the filler had migrated. Rather than adding more, we chose the safer, more effective option: dissolve first and rebuild from a clean foundation.

By identifying where the migrated filler had settled, we were able to create a completely new lip shapelifting the lips, shortening the appearance of the philtrum, restoring definition, and bringing a defined, more youthful balance back to her mouth.

✨ Lipo Lab V-Line ✨

Most people have heard of Lipo Lab, it’s been used in aesthetics for years and has become a popular fat dissolving treatment.

Lipo Lab V-Line has been developed specifically for the lower face, targeting small pockets of unwanted fat around the chin, jawline and jowl area. The aim is to help refine and contour the lower face by reducing stubborn fat, creating a more defined V shaped appearance.

This treatment is not designed to lift loose or sagging skin. It’s best suited to clients whose main concern is excess fullness under the chin or around the jawline, rather than skin laxity.

I’ve been getting some amazing results with this treatment and, personally, it’s the best facial fat dissolving product I’ve used so far. The results I’ve seen have been very impressive, especially for clients with genuine pockets of stubborn fat under the chin.

✨ How many sessions will I need?

Every client is different, but most people require 2–6 treatments, spaced approximately 3–4 weeks apart. The number of sessions depends on the amount of fat being treated and how your body responds to the treatment.

💚 It’s also important to know that this treatment isn’t suitable for everyone.

If you have a thyroid condition, fat dissolving treatments are generally not recommended.

It’s important to understand that not every “double chin” is made up of fat. In some people, the fullness can be caused by fluid retention or lymphatic congestion, and in those cases, a lymphatic drainage massage may be a much better first option than a fat dissolving treatment.
