Yesterday was due day for my client who I’ve been treating over the months of her pregnancy. ☺️
We scheduled a last massage, as she was going in last night, with a thought that today she would be induced.
Instead of the usual pregnancy massage in my therapy room, I just set up in my sitting room with my onsite chair, where I can treat her fully clothed, and we did shiatsu based acupressure massage to stimulate her bladder meridians.
This is something we avoid completely during the pregnancy but great to start proceedings when baby is cooked along with a few other magical pressure points!
I also gave reiki and sent intention towards a safe birth and a healthy baby.
My lady left here relaxed, and comfortable. Checked in to the hospital and in the early hours of today had a natural birth of a perfect little girl. 🩷
Sometimes my work feels like an honour. To be part of these moments is very special.
