Not every practitioner will have the same opinion, but I know there could be a risk of pigmentation. I know there could be complications due to heat and sweat. I know there’s a higher chance of sunburn. I know the healing cascade may be compromised.

Knowing all of this means by waiting until the cooler months we can safely carry out the treatments to achieve the best possible outcome.

Can an inanimate object have the capability of taking the whatsit?!

This mask brush has bizarrely appeared like this. I absolutely haven’t cut the bristles…why would I? I have no explanation whatsoever as to why it was normal one day, then yesterday I discovered its new look.

Which is why the question above. I’m growing out bits of my fringe, and strangely, the brush seems to have captured my current look 🤣.

One of life’s mysteries 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Monday again, how was your weekend?

On Friday we drove down to Bournemouth with a full car to move our daughter into her new uni accommodation, with IKEA being the first stop. We then had ‘fun’ getting everything into her flat (including furniture, bed frame, mattress) which would have been just about ok if the lifts were working. 7th floor and 159 stairs to get there proved a rather exhausting event 🥵.

Needless to say with the amount of times we had to go up and down those hateful stairs carrying heavy goods we all got way more than our 10,000 steps in and burnt more calories than I probably burn in a week 😂.

However, it’s worth it. She’s got a lovely flat with a pretty nice view in the distance. Student life could be worse!

I’ve been quietly pondering offering a foot treatment for a while now. Something that feels wonderful, and helps remove hard, dry skin with the use of a ‘pediceutical’ brand containing active, penetrating ingredients.

Good, consistent skincare is so important for healthy skin.

Salon/clinic treatments support your good, consistent skincare to help gain results you’d like.

BUT! And this is a big but…if you’re relying on those two alone and not paying attention to what you fuel your body with, you’re not treating your skin with a 360 approach.

Nutrition plays a big part in gaining healthy skin. Of course we can enjoy the occasional takeaway or fast food, but if we have a low nutritional diet with the wrong fats we are not providing our skin with the best start.

Skin cells are formed various layers below the one we see. They go through changes as they push their way up and once they arrive on the outside of our bodies they need to already be healthy with a strong ‘mortar’ between them (think a brick wall) to perform their job well.

If you aren’t entirely satisfied with your skin, but you know you’re doing the right thing product wise, make a note of your food intake for a few weeks. It may be an eye opener!
