This made my day.

If I'm honest...

I woke up yesterday morning feeling flat.

No energy.

Then this message landed on my phone.

A client who'd told me she thought her sub 1 hour 10K days were over because of her knee.

Today she proved herself wrong.

59:57.

Seeing things like this is why I love what I do.

It isn't about someone saying,

"That was a nice massage."

It's seeing people get back to doing something they thought they'd lost.

Running.

Walking.

Playing golf.

Getting back in the gym.

Whatever it is.

There's one thing I always tell people...

One massage rarely fixes everything.

Progress comes from working together.

You keep turning up.

I'll keep doing everything I can to get your body moving the way it should.

That's when the real changes happen.

To everyone who's trusted me with their recovery...

Thank you.

Messages like this make every early morning and every long day worth it.

Do you just accept feeling older... because you think that's normal?

One message like this makes every hour worthwhile.

A 60 year old wagon driver came to see me thinking sports massage was only for athletes.

Years of driving had left him stiff, tight and uncomfortable. He'd accepted it as part of getting older.

After his treatment, this was the message I received...

"I feel looser, I can move better, and it genuinely feels like it's taken years off me."

That's exactly why I do what I do.

You don't have to be training for a marathon or competing in HYROX to benefit from sports massage.

You might be a wagon driver.

A builder.

An office worker.

Or someone who's simply accepted aches, stiffness and reduced movement as "just getting older."

It doesn't always have to be that way.
The goal isn't just to make you feel better for an hour.

It's to help you move better, feel better, and keep doing the things you enjoy for longer.

If you're in Barnsley and you're fed up with feeling stiff every day, send me a message or book in.

Let's see what your body's capable of when it's moving properly.

The sun comes out and everyone suddenly feels better.

Which is great…

Until you start ignoring what your body’s been trying to tell you for the last few months.

A lot of people do this.

The weather improves.

Energy goes up.

You start walking more.

Training more.

Getting out in the garden.

Longer dog walks.

More runs.

More golf.

More life.

And because you mentally feel better…

You push through the tightness.

The stiff neck.

The lower back that keeps catching.

The hamstrings that are constantly pulling.

The shoulders that feel like concrete.

Then a few weeks later…
Something finally gives up.

Most of the time the body was whispering long before it started shouting.

Maintenance is always easier than repair.

Message “INFO” if your body’s been whispering lately 👍

“It’s probably just age.”

No.

You’re not old.

You’re tight.

There’s a difference.

I’ve had 60+ year olds moving better than 30 year olds.

What’s usually happening?

Years of:
Sitting.
Working.
Lifting.
Running.
Not maintaining.

Adhesions build up.

Fascia tightens.

Glutes switch off.

Posture shifts.

That’s not ageing.

That’s accumulation.

And it’s fixable.

If you’ve been told to just “accept it”,
message INFO for information.

This is why I ask what you do outside the clinic.

A few weeks ago a strongman came to me because his grip was failing before the rest of his body.

After assessing him, it wasn't just about sore forearms.

We worked on the restrictions that were stopping him performing at his best.

He went away, kept training, and this is the message I received today...

"Last farmers were comp weight at 120 kg for 10 m... just did 130 kg per hand for 15 m."

That's not just lifting more weight.

That's carrying more weight, for a longer distance.

Massage isn't a magic fix.

But if your body is moving better and you're able to train properly, you give yourself a better opportunity to improve.

That's the goal.

If you’ve ever struggled with pain that keeps coming back, this will help.

Most pain I see isn’t from one injury.

It’s from compensation.

One area’s not moving well, so another area works harder to make up for it.

Neck pain?

Often shoulders and upper back.

Lower back pain?

Hips and glutes usually playing a part.

I see this every week here in Barnsley.

Desk workers.

Railway shifts.

Gym goers.

If you only treat where it hurts, you miss what’s causing it.

Has anyone ever explained why your pain keeps coming back?

Do you spend hours sat behind the wheel every day?

Then don't be surprised if your body starts feeling it.

This client is a professional driver who came to me with years of tightness through his back, glutes and hamstrings from long hours of sitting.

We worked through the areas that had become overloaded, used a combination of sports massage and cupping, and then I showed him a few simple foam roller exercises to keep everything moving between sessions.

That's something I'm big on.

It's not just about what happens on the massage table.

It's about understanding why the muscles have tightened up in the first place and giving you the tools to help yourself afterwards.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a brilliant review, Adrian. It really does mean a lot.

If your job has you sat driving all day and your back, hips or legs are constantly tight, drop me a message.

Let's get you moving properly again.

When was the last time you walked without thinking about pain?

That's a question I hear a lot.

This client came to me after years of SI joint pain and trying different treatments with very little improvement.

After one session, she noticed a real difference in her walking and posture.

Now, every person is different. I can't promise the same result for everyone.

But what I can promise is that I'll take the time to listen, find the areas that are restricting your movement, and work on what I find.

Sometimes it's not just one muscle.

It's how everything around it has tightened up over time.

Reviews like this remind me why I do what I do. Seeing someone move better after living with pain for years is what it's all about.

If you've been putting up with tightness, stiffness or ongoing muscular aches and pains, drop me a message.

Let's see if we can get you moving properly again.

This is what it's all about.

Not just treating what's sore.

Looking at what you do every day.

Looking at how you train.

Then putting the two together.

This client is training for a strongman competition, but he's also a plumber.

All day he's gripping tools, tightening fittings and working with his hands.

Then after work he's expecting his forearms to perform at their best in the gym.

After his last session I suggested we spend half an hour just working on his forearms to get some of that tension out and help them recover properly.

Today he sent me this...

Competition weight.

Lift smashed.

That's why I love what I do.

Sometimes it's not about finding a magic fix.

It's about spotting the little things that add up, then giving the body the best chance to perform.

Whether you're a runner, strongman, tradesman or just someone whose muscles are taking a hammering every day...

The right treatment, in the right place, at the right time, can make all the difference.

If you're feeling like your body is holding you back, drop me a message.

Let's get you moving properly again.
