PLASMA SEASON IS BACK 🤎

As we move into the cooler autumn months, one of my favourite advanced skin treatments is officially back at Solution Skin Clinic — Plasma Skin Tightening.

And if you’ve followed my work for a while, you’ll know just how impressive this treatment can be.

Plasma Skin Tightening is an advanced skin-remodelling treatment designed to target areas of loose, crepey and ageing skin. Controlled plasma energy creates tiny points at the skin’s surface, triggering the natural healing response and supporting collagen and elastin remodelling over the weeks that follow.

It can be used to target:

• Hooded and ageing eyelids
• Crepey under-eye skin
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Lower-face and jowl laxity
• Lines around the mouth
• Loose skin on the neck
• Areas of skin laxity on the body

The results aren’t instant — and that’s part of the process.

Plasma works by encouraging the skin to repair and remodel itself. Improvements continue to develop over the weeks following treatment. While one session can produce a noticeable improvement, some clients may benefit from further sessions to build on their result, depending on the area being treated, degree of laxity and individual response.

And yes — there is downtime.

Tiny carbon crusts form across the treated area and remain during the initial healing stage. Swelling can occur, particularly around the eyes, and once the crusts naturally shed, the new skin underneath may remain pink for a period of time while the healing and remodelling process continues.

Good treatment planning, realistic expectations and careful aftercare are therefore an important part of every plasma treatment.

And that’s one of the reasons I love bringing plasma back into focus as we enter autumn and the cooler months — when it can be easier to plan around the healing period and minimise unnecessary sun exposure.

LYMPHATIC SCULPT FACIAL

Did you know? Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump 🤎

Unlike your circulatory system, which has the heart continuously pumping blood around the body, your lymphatic system doesn’t have its own central pump.
Instead, lymph relies on things such as movement, muscle contraction, breathing and gentle external pressure to help it travel through the lymphatic vessels.

And that's where manual lymphatic drainage gets interesting.
The very light, rhythmic movements used during a lymphatic facial aren't simply facial massage. They're designed to work with the superficial lymphatic pathways, encouraging the movement of lymph towards the appropriate lymph nodes.

For the face, this can be particularly lovely for helping with temporary puffiness and fluid congestion, while leaving the complexion looking fresher and more rested.
And here's the bit that often surprises people…
Lymphatic drainage should be gentle.
More pressure doesn't mean more drainage. Lymphatic vessels sit relatively close to the surface, which is why the technique feels beautifully light and relaxing.

So while “lymphatic detox” supplements may be having their moment online, sometimes supporting lymphatic flow is much simpler:
