Last week my mum passed away after a short battle with liver cancer. She left us footing a large chunk of the bill for finalizing all her affairs as she thought she had a few more years. And at 6 months pregnant it's not the best time to be going into debt. No one expected her deterioration to be so fast.

I've been missing for a couple of months now, taking some time out for health and family.
Hoping to get back to it soon but I'll creep back with some exciting posts of what we've been up to in the meantime!
First of all is this little development!
As you all know I passed my level 3 diploma back in Feb and today my certification Finally arrived!
It's all official and real now. I'm a fully qualified nail technician!
Who thinks I should train in lashes and lash extensions next?

Not particularly decent pics cos I'm covered in regular nail polish smudges xD I'm rubbish at painting my own toenails 🤣
but managed a quick mini mani and pedi whilst William napped.
Ready for my birthday and a week of beauty appointments.
Little tidy up on my cuticles (nicks and iffy bits are because I'm a skin picker 😱 ) with some young nails rose oil and then a cuticle tidy, trim and some purple MoYou "purple rain" polish on my toes 💜

Now that the big day has happened I can share that on Friday I had the honour of creating my first bridal nails!
For an amazing wedding at a rock venue and with a Blackwatch Tartan colour scheme.
The bride was surprised by her mum and we went for something semi low key with just a nice bit of glam but not too girly.

Proud of this set and honoured to have been trusted with the brides nails 💜

I used;

And here's the new personal project. Some customised shoes! Going for a haunted mansion theme for these beauties. Just trying to decide on the best ways to dye the canvas. Turns out sharpie and acetone is brilliant on the rubber lol

Starting to really wonder how one can be poorly for 3 weeks but not have covid xD drs again and hopefully some answers. In the meantime we did manage to get out for some fresh air on some better days and keep the kiddos entertained. (And masked up mama got her sky puppy fix in the twilight house 💜🦇💜)
Hopefully back to nail related loveliness soon! But there is some new creativity I've tried that I'm dying to show you guys!

Been a little poorly so had a little time away from nail stuff. But back on it today with a lovely 1920s inspired/influenced set.
Using my clients natural nails! No enhancements, just gel polish and gel paint.
Was a little worried about the lines as I'm still a bit Shakey but they're not too bad.

I used;
💅 gel polish in black, red, glittery red and iridescent silvery glitter
💅 swipe, mission control black and white, rose oil
💅 line it fine and tiny touches art brushes

Today finished set.
Acrylic removal, manicure and gel polish on natural nails!

A lovely art deco feel monochrome with a hint of scifi

I used;
