I’ve spoken about the importance of that initial consultation before, but here’s a client pointing it out too!
For me, a consultation isn’t simply about asking what treatment you’d like and booking you in.
It’s a conversation.
I want to understand what you’d like to achieve, what your expectations are, and what I professionally believe would be suitable for you. Sometimes those things align perfectly, and sometimes my advice might be slightly different from what you originally had in mind.
In fact, only last week a client asked whether they could have another treatment once I'd finished the one they came in for. I advised them to let their first treatment settle before doing anything else.
Why? Because I wanted to see how the initial treatment developed, make sure we weren’t doing too much at once, and, importantly, give the client time to see how they felt about the result too.
I would much rather tell you to wait, have less, or not have something at all than recommend a treatment simply because I can.
That’s what honest, personalised aesthetics should look like. 👩⚕️
