I’m not saying this is scientifically proven,
I’m just saying some of these are suspiciously accurate.

The woman who expects results after using a serum twice.
The one who’s been loyal to the same moisturiser since 2009.
The one with 14 products who insists she wants a ā€œsimple routine.ā€

Go find your month and then come back and tell me. Did I absolutely nail you or have I done your birth month dirty? šŸ˜‚

And tag your skincare partner in crime, I want to know if hers is accurate too.

We all have that one black top we wear ALL the time yet somehow still manage to convince ourselves we need another because this one is different. šŸ–¤

Skincare can be exactly the same.
But your skin doesn’t need a bathroom shelf full of products, it needs the right ones for what your skin actually needs.

Sometimes your skin doesn’t need more skincare, it needs you to stop doing quite so much to it.

Over-cleansing, too many actives and over-exfoliating can leave your skin barrier feeling anything but happy.

Sometimes simple really is better.

If your skin feels like it’s suddenly changed and you’re not sure what it needs anymore, comment SKIN and I’ll send you my skin quiz so we can work it out together. ✨

There are so many skincare ā€œrulesā€ we’ve been told over the years and some of them need to go.

Your skin doesn’t care how old you are, more steps don’t automatically mean better results, tingling doesn’t mean it’s working, and turning 40 definitely doesn’t mean you suddenly need to declare war on ageing.

I’m 53, I don’t want to look 25 again.
I want my skin to look healthy, hydrated and bloody good for 53.

And that’s what I want for you too.
Because sometimes when your skincare stops giving you the results it used to, you don’t need to buy MORE.
You need to understand what your skin needs NOW.

So if you’re over 40 and skincare has started to feel a bit confusing, follow me for straight-talking skincare advice for women 40+
Or message me SKIN and I’ll help you figure out where to start. šŸ’—

Anyone else got skincare they’re ā€œsavingā€? šŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

The expensive moisturiser.
The gorgeous face mask.
That serum you don’t want to ā€œwasteā€.

But here’s the thing, using it isn’t wasting it.
Skincare doesn’t work sitting beautifully on your bathroom shelf. And your skin doesn’t know it’s a Tuesday and apparently not special enough for the good stuff.

Use the serum.
Open the expensive cream.
Put the mask on.

You don’t need an occasion to use the good skincare. Your face is the occasion. ✨

And if you’ve got products you’re saving because you’re not actually sure when or how to use them, that’s exactly where I can help.

Your skin doesn’t need complicated. It needs consistency. šŸ’¦

A little care every day will always beat a rescue mission once it’s feeling dry, tight and dull. šŸ¤

Turns out the most embarrassing thing wasn’t posting the Reel.
It was how close I came to letting the fear of what other people might think stop me.

I’m 53 and I still overthink what I post.
I still wonder who’s judging.
I still occasionally convince myself that a share means someone’s sent it to their mate saying, ā€œHave you bloody seen this?ā€ 🤣

But I’m learning something.
You don’t build confidence then put yourself out there. You put yourself out there scared, awkward and slightly cringing and the confidence catches up.

That Reel reached hundreds of thousands of women because I posted something real.
And amongst all those numbers, the messages that mattered were the ones saying:
ā€œI feel seen.ā€
ā€œI feel heard.ā€
ā€œI thought it was just me.ā€

So I’m done trying to make myself smaller just in case somebody thinks I’m embarrassing.
I’m going to talk about skincare.
Midlife.
Menopause.
Business.
My life.
Dance badly. Sing loudly. And probably overshare occasionally.

Because the people who get me will stay.
And the ones who don’t?
They know where the scroll button is.

Maybe being a little bit embarrassing isn’t such a bad thing after all. ā¤ļø

I genuinely believe there are women reading this who would be bloody brilliant at what I do, they just don’t know it yet.

Because they’re probably thinking exactly what I thought.
ā€œI’m not a salesperson.ā€
ā€œI wouldn’t know what to say.ā€
ā€œI couldn’t put myself on social media.ā€
ā€œI don’t know enough about skincare.ā€
ā€œI wouldn’t know where to start.ā€

Neither did I.
I didn’t start because I had all the skills.
I started and the skills came afterwards.
And I think we massively underestimate the things we already know how to do.
Talking to people.
Recommending something we genuinely love.
Listening.
Making someone feel comfortable.
Sharing what’s worked for us.
Learning as we go.
That’s pretty much how this whole thing starts.

So maybe the question isn’t ā€œCould I do what you do?ā€
Maybe it’s
ā€œWhat if I’m already more suited to it than I think?ā€

And if this carousel felt suspiciously like I was describing YOU message me CURIOUS.

You don’t have to decide anything.
You can just ask the questions you’ve probably been wondering about. šŸ’—

We’ve somehow been convinced that everyone else has better skin than us.
Smoother, brighter, fewer lines, smaller pores,
Less pigmentation, just more perfect.

Except we’re comparing our real face in a bathroom mirror to someone else’s best lighting, best angle, makeup, filter and sometimes a little digital assistance thrown in for good measure. 🤣

Your skin is allowed to have texture.
It’s allowed to have pores.
It’s allowed to move when you smile.
And yes, at 40, 50, 60 and beyond, it’s allowed to look like it’s lived a bloody life.

Good skincare isn’t about chasing a face you had 20 years ago.
It’s about looking after the skin you have now, understanding what it needs, treating the things that bother you, and helping it look healthy, hydrated and bloody lovely.

Because perfect skin?
I’ve been doing this long enough to tell you, I’m still waiting to meet her. We all have something we wish we could change or was not there as we age.

And if you’re looking in the mirror thinking your skin should look better than it does right now, talk to me.
Comment 'Skin' and let’s stop chasing perfect and start getting YOUR skin feeling bloody good again.
