Looking back on the fabulous ALASTIN Skincare ™ morning. Professional events enable us to network with other people working within Aesthetics, hear about new research or studies, trial new products to offer to patients and gain clinical insights. The lovely Dr. Bethany Rossington • MEDICAL AESTHETICS gave such an interesting presentation regarding Alastin and the medical skincare that they offer and having used their products for a couple of months, I’ll be offering these in clinic as my skin has never looked better 🤍

Not *quite* sure how I feel about having the photo on the left on the internet forever but here we go….✌🏼
5 things that are 100% worth the money, especially as a 36 year old Mum. I missed ALL of these (aside from number 5 which kept me sane in pregnancy and postpartum) for those 3 years.
The first photo is VERY sleepless nights for 16 months, not looking after myself as well as I should have and not having the time nor inclination to do my skincare. When I weaned my son I decided on a bit of a glow up 🌟 Here’s what I did….
1. Neurotoxin. A non-negotiable for me, I’ve always had super strong frown and forehead muscles and 3 years without this was no joke (due to breastfeeding) I do my treatment every 3-4 months and just love love love the results.
2. Great quality skincare. 100% worth the money. Now, this doesn’t mean that you have to spent £100’s. I am not a 10 step girlie, I like a cleanser, toner, good quality serums such as hyaluronic acid and vit c, a moisturiser and obviously an SPF. Brands that I love- Teoxane, Fillmed, Alastin, Obagi, La Roche Posay and some Korean skincare brands such as Medicube.
3. Microneedling. Amazing for basically everyone, done regularly this increases collagen, elasticity, and radiance in the skin whilst minimising wrinkles, fine lines and dullness. Having had hormonal acne for years this has really helped with scarring for me. I also needled my c section scar and used medical grade silicone on it and it is basically invisible.
4. Skin Boosters. There’s many on the market nowadays, nothing beats Teosyal Redensity for me. It really hydrates the skin whilst providing antioxidants, minerals and amino acids. I do a course once a year and then 1-2 top up treatments.
5. Pilates/Barre/Weighted/Infrared Sculpt classes. Amazing for overall health, lymphatic drainage, muscle building and strength. I do these 3/5 times per week, have helped sculpt my body, made me feel more confident and help with chronic pain. They have also definitely reduced puffiness and water retention in my face and body.
Glass skin…glowy skin…without the filter ✌🏼
One thing most requested by my patients is ‘better skin’. More hydrated, less dark circles and fine lines and more glow.
I’ve used Teoxane for over 7 years now and Redensity is one of my hero products. The babyGLOW™️ treatment offers fantastic results and minimal downtime.
Pure hyaluronic acid with antioxidants, minerals, amino acids and vitamins this powerhouse targets signs of ageing, deeply hydrates the skin and enhances natural radiance.
With a new 8 point injection technique based on expert research we can optimise product placement into strategically chosen points. Unlike dermal fillers this is non volumising but provides both beautification and rejuvenation when used as part of a treatment plan.
As you can see the treatment itself takes around 15 minutes including marking up and injecting. It is discreet and has very little downtime with patients noticing improvements in their skin within a matter of days.
Comment ‘glow’ if you’d like to be sent information regarding this amazing treatment 🌟

What’s in my summer essentials…the little things I just can’t get by without…
ALASTIN® C-Radical Defence- Award winning Vitamin C antioxidant serum to protect the skin from free radicals and UV damage. Gorgeous texture, helps minimise fine lines and wrinkles and refines skin texture. Needed ✌🏼
ALASTIN® HA Immerse Serum- For dull, dry and dehydrated skin. My skin is SO dry since having my little boy and I love an easy hydrating serum that pulls its weight. Glowy skin must have 🌟
Bioderma UK & Ireland Hydrabio brume- My friend put this in a lovely postpartum present hamper for me and I’m still buying it 3 years later. A cooling, hydrating spray which calms irritated skin. I love a spritz over makeup or to cool in the sun 🌞
La Roche-Posay International Anthelios- If you’re not using SPF50 on your face, neck, hands…well, everywhere…why not? I don’t *really* sunbathe anymore but always choose a high factor to prevent signs of ageing and protect against harmful rays. This invisible fluid is perfect under makeup, protects against UVA and UVB and leaves no white cast. It’s the perfect size to pop in your bag and top up throughout the day.
Hermès Oud Alezen- I’ve been obsessed with this perfume since I first smelt it. A majestic Oud with the contrast of roses. A scent so many people stop and ask me for!
La Roche-Posay International cicaplast baume- Chapped lips…sunburn…damaged skin barrier….nappy rash…this works wonders. I’ll often apply a layer before bed to wake up with glassy, hydrated skin. Not to be used as a ‘moisturiser’ but one definitely to have in your bathroom cabinet.
La Mer UK ‘the Lip volumiser’- A little pricey…(but I did receive as a present from a lovely friend). I usually hate lip volumisers due to the burning sensation but this is very subtle whilst being super hydrating and giving a lovely glossy look. Plus the product is just beautiful to look at 👄
