I can Honestly say I love my job! 💕 We stick on some tunes and have a good old natter and it’s just like seeing friends for a catch up. sometimes I can’t wait to find out the next part of the story or I feel like I can live my life through you youngsters enjoying life, travelling the world 🤣 it’s so interesting how much I can find in common with the people around me now - this is my first career I’ve found that btw! You don’t know how much it means to me to see a friendly face especially after moving somewhere new and having my second child, and being able to be flexible and have some balance back 💕

Glues are the number one thing to invest your time in finding! They need to work for you, your environment your timings, whether its winter or summer but most importantly your customers will return for long lasting lashes that are comfortable during their appointment and for years to come. Some glues are so strong I don’t even need to start lashing and mine and my customers eyes are streaming and I don’t care if someone told me their lashes last 8 weeks I won’t be putting mine or my customers health at risk.

Us women hold ourselves back from risk and talk our way out of doing things because it all has to be planned and every inch thought through but if we just start you either learn develop and grow or hold ourselves back from what we really want

Honestly… I wish I started when younger as it was what I wanted todo but there was a stigma attached to the beauty and hair industry growing up.

No one teaches women how to be there as a mother and work!

I had to change something for my family, it just didn’t feel right to me us being out the house and seperate for up to 13hrs a day!
Then working all evening and weekends- dragging my children into work with me over the holidays.
I needed the flexibility and to find some joy in what I did, on maternity I completed 6 courses just to find something so might enjoy and only when I had completed my eyelash extension training is when I considered setting up self employed.

I can now breathe

Tape- get used to using it! I get all my students to use gel tape so that it’s gentle on their clients and can be removed and replaced easily. Struggling with crossed over lashes? Get that tape out!
