HOW MANY SKINCARE PRODUCTS DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED?
Probably fewer than you think.
If your bathroom cabinet is full of half-used products…
If you’ve spent a fortune on skincare but still aren’t seeing results…
If you’re standing in shops wondering what you’re actually supposed to buy anymore…
You are not alone.
So many women are overwhelmed by skincare.
One cream promises younger-looking skin.
Another promises hydration.
Another says it will “transform” your skin in 7 days.
Before long, you’re layering product after product and hoping something finally works.
But more products do not always mean better skin.
Most people don’t need:
❌ Multiple acids
❌ Several serums layered together
❌ Complicated routines
❌ Cupboards full of products
What skin often needs most is:
✨ Consistency
✨ Simplicity
✨ A healthy skin barrier
✨ Products chosen specifically for YOUR skin
Because using too much, or the wrong products, can actually leave skin feeling:
→ irritated
→ dry
→ sensitive
→ inflamed
→ overwhelmed
Especially during hormonal changes and perimenopause, when skin often becomes more reactive and unpredictable.
Sometimes a simple, supportive routine will achieve far better results than a shelf full of expensive products.
Healthy skin shouldn’t feel confusing. Stop wasting money and guessing what your skin needs
Can I wear makeup directly after permanent makeup treatment? 💭
This is another very common question I get asked before appointments.
The short answer is no, makeup should not be applied immediately after treatment.
During the procedure, pigment is carefully implanted into the skin, which means the area needs time to heal properly over the following days.
Applying makeup too soon can interfere with the healing process and may irritate the skin while it is still recovering.
Allowing the area to heal correctly is an important part of achieving the best possible healed results ✨
Once the skin has healed over, makeup can then be worn again as normal.
Aftercare plays a huge role in how beautifully your results heal, and I will always guide you through the process so you feel fully informed and comfortable throughout ❤️
If you’ve been curious about permanent makeup treatments or aftercare, I’m always happy to answer your questions ❤️
YOUR SKIN BARRIER IS YOUR SKIN’S PROTECTIVE SHIELD
DOES YOUR SKIN FEEL… 👇
✨ tight no matter how much moisturiser you use?
✨ reactive to products you used to love?
✨ sore, red or irritated for no obvious reason?
✨ sensitive to everything lately?
✨ dry but also breaking
…it may not be “bad skin.”
Your skin barrier could simply be compromised.
Your skin barrier’s job is to keep hydration IN and irritation OUT.
When it becomes weakened, even products you’ve always used can suddenly sting, burn or cause flare-ups.
Common causes:
• over-exfoliating
• too many active ingredients
• stress & hormonal changes
• weather changes
• harsh skincare routines
• not enough hydration
And this is where many people go wrong ⤵️
They keep adding MORE products trying to “fix” the issue… when the skin actually needs LESS stimulation and MORE support.
Barrier-focused skincare is all about:
✔️ calming inflammation
✔️ restoring hydration
✔️ strengthening the skin
✔️ rebuilding resilience
Healthy glowing skin doesn’t come from stripping the skin back, it comes from supporting it properly ❤️

One of the biggest misconceptions in skincare is that a facial is “just a treat.”
A good facial should actually be targeted, corrective and supportive for YOUR skin concerns.
That’s why I focus on treatment-led facials rather than trend-led skincare.
Your skin changes constantly.
Hormones, stress, inflammation, dehydration, barrier damage, menopause, lifestyle, all of these affect how your skin behaves.
So rather than following what’s viral online, I prefer to work with what YOUR skin actually needs.
Sometimes that’s hydration support.
Sometimes barrier repair.
Sometimes calming inflammation.
Sometimes collagen stimulation.
And because I personally have every treatment I offer, I know how important consistency and correct skincare are alongside treatments.
You cannot out-facial poor skincare habits.
But when we combine targeted treatments with the right homecare ingredients?
That’s when we start seeing healthier, stronger, more resilient skin.

Retinol can absolutely transform skin… when it’s used correctly ✨
But one of the biggest problems I’m seeing lately is people overusing strong active ingredients because of social media trends.
More retinol does NOT always mean better results.
When overused, skin can become:
• Red
• Tight
• Sensitive
• Flaky
• Reactive
• Barrier damaged
And often clients think they need even MORE products to “fix” it.
Retinol can be amazing for skin texture, breakouts, pigmentation and ageing concerns, but it needs to be introduced properly and balanced with barrier support.
Healthy skin should not constantly feel irritated.
If you’re unsure whether retinol is right for your skin, or your routine feels overwhelming, I can help simplify things for you ❤️

Hyaluronic Acid isn’t just a buzzword… 💧
It’s one of the key ingredients that helps your skin hold onto hydration, leaving skin looking plumper, smoother and more comfortable.
When skin is dehydrated, it can feel:
✨ Tight
✨ Dull
✨ Uncomfortable
✨ More sensitive
✨ Fine lines appear more noticeable
And this becomes even more common during peri/menopause or warmer weather.
But here’s the important part:
Not every skin actually needs the same ingredients, and layering random trending products together can sometimes make skin worse, not better.
Good skincare is about understanding what YOUR skin needs.

What happens during a permanent makeup treatment? ✨
This is another question I’m often asked before an appointment, especially by clients who are new to permanent makeup.
Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation to make sure everything is tailored specifically to you.
We’ll go through everything together, including:
✨ Your skin tone and skin type
✨ Colour matching to suit your hair and complexion
✨ Brow placement and facial symmetry
✨ Designing a shape that enhances your natural features
Nothing is rushed, and every detail is carefully considered before the treatment begins.
Once we’re both happy with the colour, shape, and placement, the treatment can then proceed comfortably and confidently.
The goal is always to create results that feel natural, balanced, and beautifully suited to you ❤️

Sometimes you’re paying more for the packaging, celebrity endorsement or marketing campaign than the actual formulation.
One of the biggest things I hear from clients is:
“I’ve spent hundreds on skincare and still don’t know what actually works for my skin.”
And honestly? I completely understand why.
The skincare world can feel overwhelming:
✨ Too many products
✨ Too many conflicting opinions
✨ Viral trends everywhere
✨ Expensive creams promising miracles
But good skincare isn’t about having the most expensive routine… it’s about using the RIGHT products for your skin type, concerns and goals.
I’d always rather help you build a simple, effective routine that fits with your skin, your lifestyle and your budget, giving you real results rather than have you wasting money on products that aren’t serving your skin.
That’s also why I offer my Discovery sessions and VIP Club, giving my clients access to professional skincare, expert guidance and better pricing without the overwhelm 🤍

There’s a big difference between skincare sitting ON the skin…
and skincare being delivered INTO the skin where it can actually do its job more effectively.
That’s why I love meso treatments.
They’re designed to infuse targeted ingredients deeper into the skin — helping hydration, radiance, skin quality and overall skin function.
And honestly? I have these treatments myself because I genuinely see and feel the difference in my own skin afterwards.
Especially as skin matures, we often notice:
• dehydration
• dullness
• loss of bounce
• crepey texture
• skin that suddenly looks “tired”
Throwing random trending products at that rarely solves the issue.
But combining advanced treatments with the RIGHT skincare ingredients at home can completely change how the skin behaves.
That’s always my goal:
Not just “pampering” the skin…
but helping it function better long term as well.
Professional treatments + professional homecare = where the magic really happens.
