WHEN I STARTED GOING THROUGH MENOPAUSE, MY SKIN CHANGED IN WAYS I WASN’T EXPECTING.
It started to feel less firm.
Less plump.
Not as “bouncy” as it once was.
I began noticing more lines, changes in texture and a loss of elasticity in my skin.
At first, I honestly thought I was imagining it.
But I wasn’t.
One of the biggest changes we as women experience during perimenopause and menopause is the gradual loss of firmness and elasticity within the skin.
As our hormone levels change, our skin naturally begins producing less collagen and elastin.
Collagen is what helps give skin its firmness and structure.
Elastin is what gives skin that bounce and resilience.
And when these start to decline, skin can suddenly feel:
→ thinner
→ drier
→ more fragile
→ less radiant
→ more lined or crepey
No matter how much moisturiser I applied, my skin still didn’t feel the same anymore.
What I eventually realised was this:
My skin didn’t need harsher products or more products.
It needed support.
This is one of the reasons I love ingredients like peptides ✨
Peptides help support the skin and encourage it to look firmer, smoother and healthier over time.
They’re gentle, supportive and work beautifully as part of a consistent skincare routine — especially during menopause, when skin needs nourishment rather than overload.
I often describe peptides as little “coaches” for the skin, helping it function more effectively again as our skin changes.
And honestly?
Understanding what my skin needed during menopause changed everything for me.
That’s also why I’m so passionate about helping other women understand and support their skin through these changes too ❤️

How long does a permanent makeup treatment take? ✨
This is one of the most common questions I get before an appointment.
The answer will depend on the treatment you're having, as different procedures require different amounts of time. As a general guide, I recommend allowing around two hours for your appointment.
This doesn't mean two hours of treatment on the skin. Your appointment also includes important preparation time, such as:
✨ Completing any necessary paperwork
✨ Discussing your treatment in detail
✨ Colour selection and matching
✨ Brow mapping and design (if applicable)
✨ Answering any questions you may have
I always take the time to ensure you're fully informed, comfortable, and happy with every aspect of the procedure before we begin.
If your chosen treatment requires additional time, you'll be advised beforehand.

“One ingredient mature skin often loves ✨”
BEFORE I REALLY UNDERSTOOD PEPTIDES, I THOUGHT MY SKIN WAS JUST “AGEING OVERNIGHT.”
My skin suddenly started feeling:
→ less firm
→ less plump
→ thinner
→ drier
→ more lined
→ not as “bouncy” as it once was
And honestly, I found it quite difficult.
No matter how much moisturiser I applied, my skin still didn’t feel the same anymore.
At first, I thought I simply needed richer creams or more products.
But what I eventually realised was this:
As we go through perimenopause and menopause, collagen production naturally slows down.
And collagen is what helps give our skin firmness, structure and resilience.
This is one of the reasons mature skin can suddenly start to feel less smooth, less radiant and more fragile.
That’s when I started learning more about ingredients that genuinely support the skin — not fight against it.
And peptides became one of my absolute favourites ✨
Peptides help support the skin and encourage it to look firmer, smoother and healthier over time.
They’re not harsh.
They’re not aggressive.
And they work beautifully within a supportive skincare routine for mature and menopausal skin.
I often describe peptides as little “messengers” for the skin — helping support the skin as collagen and elasticity naturally decline.
For me, skincare stopped being about trying to look younger.
It became about helping my skin feel healthy, comfortable, supported and strong again And that shift changed everything.
If your skin suddenly feels different, you are absolutely not imagining it.
Sometimes skin simply needs different support through different stages of life.

MICRONEEDLING ISN’T ABOUT “DAMAGING” THE SKIN…
It’s about teaching the skin to repair itself better.
One thing I’ll never do is offer a treatment I wouldn’t personally have myself — and microneedling is one of the treatments I consistently come back to because the results are based on skin science, not trends.
Microneedling works by creating tiny controlled micro-channels within the skin.
These tiny channels trigger the skin’s natural repair response while also allowing professional serums and active ingredients to be delivered deeper into the lower layers of the skin rather than simply sitting on the surface.
That’s why clients often notice their skin looking fresher, brighter and more radiant afterwards.
The treatment also helps stimulate circulation and encourages collagen and elastin production — which naturally slows as we age.
Over time, this can help improve:
• skin texture
• fine lines
• firmness
• hydration
• overall skin quality
Improve scar tissue
But here’s the important part…
The treatment is only HALF of the story.
Professional treatments create the opportunity for change, but the correct skincare at home is what helps maintain and support those results long term.
When we combine microneedling with ingredients such as peptides, hydration support, antioxidants and barrier repair, we’re not just “treating” the skin temporarily — we’re helping the skin function better and healthier over time.
And that’s exactly why I believe in it enough to have it done on my own skin too.

WHEN I WENT THROUGH MENOPAUSE, MY SKIN CHANGED COMPLETELY.
Almost overnight, my skin no longer felt like “my” skin.
It became:
→ drier
→ more sensitive
→ less radiant
→ less firm
→ more reactive to products that had always suited me before
Fine lines suddenly looked more noticeable.
My skin felt thinner and dehydrated.
And the glow and elasticity I’d always had just didn’t seem the same anymore.
At first, I thought I simply needed more products or stronger products.
But the reality was… my skin’s needs had changed.
During menopause, hormonal changes affect the skin in so many ways.
As estrogen declines, the skin naturally produces less collagen, elastin and oil, which can leave skin feeling:
✨ drier
✨ less plump
✨ more fragile
✨ less elastic
And this is exactly why so many women suddenly feel like they’ve “aged overnight.”
What helped me most wasn’t using more skincare.
It was understanding what my skin needed NOW.
With simple, supportive skincare and the right professional products, I’ve been able to support my skin through these changes and keep it feeling healthy, comfortable and cared for.
That’s why I’m so passionate about helping other women navigate these changes too 🤍
Because menopausal skin doesn’t need punishing.
It needs understanding, support and the right approach.

HOW MANY SKINCARE PRODUCTS DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED?
Probably fewer than you think.
If your bathroom cabinet is full of half-used products…
If you’ve spent a fortune on skincare but still aren’t seeing results…
If you’re standing in shops wondering what you’re actually supposed to buy anymore…
You are not alone.
So many women are overwhelmed by skincare.
One cream promises younger-looking skin.
Another promises hydration.
Another says it will “transform” your skin in 7 days.
Before long, you’re layering product after product and hoping something finally works.
But more products do not always mean better skin.
Most people don’t need:
❌ Multiple acids
❌ Several serums layered together
❌ Complicated routines
❌ Cupboards full of products
What skin often needs most is:
✨ Consistency
✨ Simplicity
✨ A healthy skin barrier
✨ Products chosen specifically for YOUR skin
Because using too much, or the wrong products, can actually leave skin feeling:
→ irritated
→ dry
→ sensitive
→ inflamed
→ overwhelmed
Especially during hormonal changes and perimenopause, when skin often becomes more reactive and unpredictable.
Sometimes a simple, supportive routine will achieve far better results than a shelf full of expensive products.
Healthy skin shouldn’t feel confusing. Stop wasting money and guessing what your skin needs
Can I wear makeup directly after permanent makeup treatment? 💭
This is another very common question I get asked before appointments.
The short answer is no, makeup should not be applied immediately after treatment.
During the procedure, pigment is carefully implanted into the skin, which means the area needs time to heal properly over the following days.
Applying makeup too soon can interfere with the healing process and may irritate the skin while it is still recovering.
Allowing the area to heal correctly is an important part of achieving the best possible healed results ✨
Once the skin has healed over, makeup can then be worn again as normal.
Aftercare plays a huge role in how beautifully your results heal, and I will always guide you through the process so you feel fully informed and comfortable throughout ❤️
If you’ve been curious about permanent makeup treatments or aftercare, I’m always happy to answer your questions ❤️
YOUR SKIN BARRIER IS YOUR SKIN’S PROTECTIVE SHIELD
DOES YOUR SKIN FEEL… 👇
✨ tight no matter how much moisturiser you use?
✨ reactive to products you used to love?
✨ sore, red or irritated for no obvious reason?
✨ sensitive to everything lately?
✨ dry but also breaking
…it may not be “bad skin.”
Your skin barrier could simply be compromised.
Your skin barrier’s job is to keep hydration IN and irritation OUT.
When it becomes weakened, even products you’ve always used can suddenly sting, burn or cause flare-ups.
Common causes:
• over-exfoliating
• too many active ingredients
• stress & hormonal changes
• weather changes
• harsh skincare routines
• not enough hydration
And this is where many people go wrong ⤵️
They keep adding MORE products trying to “fix” the issue… when the skin actually needs LESS stimulation and MORE support.
Barrier-focused skincare is all about:
✔️ calming inflammation
✔️ restoring hydration
✔️ strengthening the skin
✔️ rebuilding resilience
Healthy glowing skin doesn’t come from stripping the skin back, it comes from supporting it properly ❤️

One of the biggest misconceptions in skincare is that a facial is “just a treat.”
A good facial should actually be targeted, corrective and supportive for YOUR skin concerns.
That’s why I focus on treatment-led facials rather than trend-led skincare.
Your skin changes constantly.
Hormones, stress, inflammation, dehydration, barrier damage, menopause, lifestyle, all of these affect how your skin behaves.
So rather than following what’s viral online, I prefer to work with what YOUR skin actually needs.
Sometimes that’s hydration support.
Sometimes barrier repair.
Sometimes calming inflammation.
Sometimes collagen stimulation.
And because I personally have every treatment I offer, I know how important consistency and correct skincare are alongside treatments.
You cannot out-facial poor skincare habits.
But when we combine targeted treatments with the right homecare ingredients?
That’s when we start seeing healthier, stronger, more resilient skin.
