After 20 years of helping to prevent cervical cancer as a Nurse Specialist and Colposcopist, today I say goodbye to my NHS career—but I'll never stop being a nurse. 💙

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter.

For the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of caring for women at some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. As a Nurse Specialist and Colposcopist, I've been able to identify and treat pre-cancerous cervical cell changes, helping to prevent cervical cancer while offering reassurance, compassion and support to thousands of women.

I leave knowing I have made a difference, and that is something I will always be proud of.

The NHS has shaped not only the clinician I am today but also the person I have become. I've worked alongside incredible colleagues, learned invaluable lessons, and made lifelong friendships that I will cherish forever.

Although I'm leaving the NHS, I'm not leaving nursing. I will be maintaining my NMC registration and continuing my career as a Senior Aesthetic Nurse and Aesthetic Practitioner at Stardust Aesthetics, where my new chapter is all about helping people feel happier, more confident and refreshed through safe, evidence-based treatments.

To all of my wonderful NHS colleagues—thank you for your friendship, support and the memories we've shared. As a small thank you, I'd love to welcome you to Stardust Aesthetics.

For the past two decades, I have had the privilege of caring for women at some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. As a Colposcopist, I've been able to identify and treat pre-cancerous cervical cell changes, helping to prevent cervical cancer while offering reassurance, compassion and support to thousands of women.

I leave knowing I have made a difference, and that is something I will always be proud of.

The NHS has shaped not only the clinician I am today but also the person I have become. I've worked alongside incredible colleagues, learned invaluable lessons, and made lifelong friendships that I will cherish forever.

Although I'm leaving the NHS, I'm not leaving nursing. I will be maintaining my NMC registration and continuing my career as a Senior Aesthetic Nurse and Aesthetic Practitioner, bringing the same clinical expertise, patient safety and compassionate care into every treatment I provide.

To every patient who trusted me, every colleague who supported me, and everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. You have all played a part in my story, and I will never forget it.

Here's to new beginnings while carrying 20 years of NHS experience with me.
