"My hands tell you a story" πŸ‘

This afternoon, I had the privilege of hosting a deeply moving socio-aesthetic workshop at the Staple Hill Community Hub.

Before diving into our relaxing scrubs and hand massages, we started with a powerful exercise where each participant opened up and shared the stories their hands hold.

From grief and loneliness to shared experiences and comfort, it was an incredibly and beautiful session.

It felt so fitting to hold this space this week, as we observe Loneliness Awareness Week.
Loneliness is a theme I see and address so often in my work, and there is nothing quite like the healing power of touch, active listening, and human connection to break the silence ✨

✨Sharing the highlights of my latest socio-esthetics workshop!

The focus was all about lip care. We explored gentle routines and techniques to soothe, protect, and restore the delicate skin of the lips for the summer.

I love to run sensory activities like this one for the Redcliffe Hub. ✨Empowering individuals through tailored skincare brings me so much joy.

Beauty, socio-aesthetic has the power to heal ✨

This testimony from one of the women at my Staple Hill workshop reminded me why socio-aesthetics matters so much in our communities. Behind every lipstick, every hair talk, every shared laugh there is a woman rediscovering her worth and her joy.

This is the heart of my work. And I am so honoured to be part of these women's journeys 🌸 Read her words below.

At the Redcliffe Hub thanks to the support of each month I deliver a free workshop for the women in the community.

Like every month I include their needs and thoughts about building the next workshop. For that one and because the summer is coming in a month we decided to talk about the effect of the sun on your skinβ˜€οΈ

We spent time learning about sun safety, understanding SPF and how to protect our skin while still enjoying the warmer days 🧴

One of my favourite moments was sharing about creating our own refreshing DIY face and body mist perfect for cooling down and staying hydrated during hot weather with few safe ingredients.

Thank you to everyone who joined, shared, created and brought such lovely energy.

Yesterday I had the chance to spend time working with vendors at Big Issue in Cardiff bringing together care, conversation, and a bit of self-care through a Socio Aesthetic sessions.

It was a meaningful experience focusing on people first listening, connecting, and creating a moment of pause and dignity in the middle of a busy day.

Alongside the session, I also prepared bags filled with beauty products, offering small essentials that can support confidence and wellbeing in everyday life. Thank you

What stood out most was how something simple time, attention, and thoughtful care can shift the energy of a day.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute in this way and to be part of work that centres people and their lived experience ✨

Ready for my new workshops who starting tomorrow I will run at the Staple Hill Community Hub for the women in the community.

The workshop is already full and I coudn't be more happy to see how the women responded so positively by booking their free spaces ✨

Thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund I am able to plan all these self-care and beauty care session where I know for the women it's a safe space where we can talk about more deep subject like grief, personal situation, menopause or any other subjects they want.

Cannot wait to share pictures of these new sessions πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Last Thursday I was at the Redcliff Hub for the women in the community running a new monthly workshop ✨

This theme was 'Eyesbrows & Self-confidence'

Many women shared about their eyebrows and how in certain situation can make them feel less confident because they had lost some hairs, they don't have time to look after themselves or they don't need how to do it. During this hour we took the time all together to learn about how we can care about our eyebrows but also how with simple tips we can make them better for everyday to look natural too.

It was a time to learn more about the beauty routine of the women, which brand or just learn also about themselves. Because socio-aesthetic is a way to make the person better physically and mentally.

We finished the session with a DYI to create a eye brow gel with 2 ingredients πŸ‘πŸΌ safe for the skin and eyes.
