Regardless of who you vote for, and whether any government would actually follow through on policies is another debate entirely — but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever read something that captures the reality of running a small business in Britain so accurately.

You don’t truly realise how much pressure, bureaucracy, cost and risk is involved until you do it yourself. Most small business owners aren’t asking for handouts — they just want a fair chance to work hard, build something and not be punished for it every step of the way.
