Looking back, it’s insane to see how much has changed in my life and my business. One thing hasn’t changed though, and that’s why I do this.

I know what it’s like to feel like your skin controls your confidence, which is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping others understand theirs.

You’ll probably notice a little shift in my content over the next few weeks. I’ll still be sharing results and clinic life, but you’ll also see a lot more education to help you understand your skin.

One thing I always say to my clients is that understanding your skin is just as important as treating it. I wish clear skin came from one facial or one miracle product, but it doesn’t work like that. Real, lasting results come from understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and making the right changes consistently.

My goal isn’t perfect skin. It’s helping you get to the point where your skin no longer consumes every minute of your day.

But this is exactly why skincare can be so misleading.

Not all products are created equal. Similar looking formulas or packaging can have completely different ingredients, strengths & delivery systems, and the average person would never know just from the front of the bottle.

Brands are also brilliant at marketing. A product can be positioned as “for glow,” “for breakouts,” or “for anti-ageing,” but what does that actually mean? Does glow mean hydration, or a brighter skin tone? Does breakouts refer to cystic acne or small pustules? Is “anti-ageing” wrinkles or sun spots? …because they all need different approaches.

This is another reason it’s really difficult to just give a budget friendly option for a professional product. It’s not that your skin therapist is being difficult or that all high street products are bad, but it can be hard to find out the truth behind the products and to know exact strengths or where the brands source their ingredients from.

There are amazing, affordable products out there, but it’s a minefield to the majority of customers. A lot of the products start to look and sound the same, and that’s where people get caught out.
