✨ My Journey with Reiki ✨
My journey with Reiki started around 12 years ago, long before I ever imagined that one day I would become a Reiki Master Teacher.
I first experienced Reiki as a client. Over the years, I had treatments with a few different practitioners, and I always found them a beautiful and calming experience.
At the time, I had already been through so much with my back. I had undergone four back operations, including a spinal fusion, and I have a lot of metalwork — rods, screws, bolts, a cage and a shock absorber.
I lived with a lot of pain and, at that time, I was taking quite a lot of medication.
I remember thinking, “I would love to learn this one day.” But I constantly knocked myself and told myself I couldn’t do it.
Eventually, life took me to Wales.
In the little village where I lived, there was a beautiful shop selling candles and offering holistic treatments such as Reiki and sound baths. I booked myself in for a treatment, and while I was there, I got chatting to the lady who ran the shop.
She told me she also taught Reiki, sound baths and other therapies.
I thought, “Let’s give it a go. If I don’t like it, I don’t have to carry on!” 😂
Well… I loved it.
But I want to make something very clear about my medication, because this is an important part of my story.
Before I started my Reiki training, I had already made the personal decision to stop taking my medication. I had been taking Tramadol for my back pain, but I really wanted to come off it.
I gradually reduced the amount I was taking and eventually stopped taking it altogether. I noticed that I wasn’t experiencing the pain I had expected to, and eventually I realised I had stopped taking the medication completely.
That was around 12 years ago.
This was my personal decision and experience, and I don’t put that down to Reiki. Reiki was not the reason I stopped my medication, and I would never encourage anyone to stop or change prescribed medication without speaking to their doctor.
Then came another huge turning point in my life.
I lost my mum. ❤️
Looking back, I think losing my mum was one of the things that really pushed me towards doing my Reiki training.
I often find myself thinking, “I wish I had learnt Reiki before Mum passed.”
I wish I had been able to give her Reiki — perhaps simply to help her relax, to give her some comfort during difficult moments, or just to sit beside her and offer her that gentle energy and presence.
And maybe, most importantly, I wish I could have had Reiki as something I could have shared with her during her passing.
I’ll never know whether it would have made a difference, but I do know that I would have loved to have had the opportunity.
So I began my Reiki journey.
And honestly… I’ve never looked back.
I have loved every part of it — the learning, the experiences, the people I’ve met and, most importantly, being able to offer Reiki to people who need some time for themselves.
I am now a Reiki Master Teacher, and when I look back at the woman who once knocked herself down and thought, “I don’t think I can do this,” I feel incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.
Reiki has become so much more than something I learnt.
It has become part of my journey.
It’s taught me about slowing down, listening, being present and creating a safe, peaceful space for someone to simply be.
I don’t claim that Reiki can fix everything, and I would never tell someone to replace medical care with Reiki.
For me, Reiki is about offering comfort, relaxation, connection and time for yourself.
And perhaps that’s why it means so much to me.
Because I know what it’s like to need comfort.
I know what it’s like to live with pain.
And I know what it’s like to lose someone you love and wish you could have done just a little more.
Now I have the privilege of offering others the same peaceful space that I once needed myself.
From the client lying on a Reiki bed 12 years ago…
To becoming a Reiki Master Teacher today.
What a journey it’s been. ❤️✨
And I honestly can’t wait to see where Reiki takes me next. 🙏✨

✨ TRUST WHAT RESONATES WITH YOUR SOUL ✨
Not everything needs an explanation.
Sometimes your soul simply knows. 🤍
If something feels peaceful, aligned and right within you
trust that feeling.
Listen to your intuition.
Follow what feels good for your soul.
And remember you don’t need everyone else to understand your journey. 🌿✨
Your soul knows the way. 🦋

Crystal balls aren’t really about predicting every little thing that’s going to happen. They’re more about intuition, reflection and trusting what you already feel deep down inside. 💫
Sometimes the answers aren’t actually in the crystal ball…
They’re already within you. 🤍
Although if mine could tell me what I’m having for dinner tonight, that would be VERY helpful! 😂🔮✨

Oh this is so true x
✨ Today’s reminder:
Protect your peace, trust your journey, and be gentle with yourself. You are doing better than you think. 💕✨
✨ TODAY’S MINDSET ✨
Today, I choose to slow down, breathe and remind myself that I am doing enough.
I don’t need to have everything figured out.
I don’t need to please everyone.
I don’t need to compare my journey to anyone else’s.
Today I choose peace over pressure, gratitude over worry, and progress over perfection.
What is meant for me will find me.
What is no longer serving me, I am learning to let go of.
I trust myself.
I trust my journey.
I trust that even the little steps are taking me somewhere beautiful. 🌿✨
Today I choose to believe in myself, protect my energy and make space for good things to come.
I am enough. I am worthy. I am growing. I am becoming. 💫

✨ What an experience last night… ✨
Last night I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing a Sika Shamanic Sound Journey, and what a beautiful and powerful experience it was. 🌿✨
This was very different from a traditional sound bath. Instead of crystal bowls being the main focus, the journey was created through the deep, grounding vibrations of the didgeridoo, the beautiful sounds of native flutes, drums, rattles, voice and other natural instruments. 🌿🥁🪶
The sounds seemed to take me somewhere completely different at times grounding and earthy, at other times gentle, haunting and incredibly peaceful. It felt less like listening to music and more like being completely immersed within the sound.
As someone who facilitates sound baths myself, I absolutely loved experiencing sound from such a different perspective. It reminded me that sound can create so many different feelings, emotions and experiences, and there is always something new to discover.
I came away feeling grounded, peaceful and inspired, with lots of ideas and appreciation for the incredible world of sound healing.
A truly beautiful experience and one I’m so glad I got to experience. 🤍
