I’m fundraising for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund because this cause is incredibly close to my heart — it’s something my family has experienced first-hand through our beautiful granddaughter, Penelope. ❤️

Penelope was born with a very complex heart condition called Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV), along with a hole in her heart. She needed major heart surgery as a baby, including replacement of the tubes carrying blood to and from her heart.

Thankfully, that life-saving surgery gave Penelope the chance to grow into the happy, beautiful little girl she is today. 🥰❤️

But her journey isn’t over.

As she grows, the tubes that were replaced cannot grow with her, which means she will potentially need further surgery as a teenager and potentially again as an adult.

Knowing what our family has been through makes me want to do everything I can to help other children and families facing the same frightening journey.
