We are so incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and generosity from the Cannock community in helping us look for Luna.

We know everyone wants to help bring her home, but it is vital that we explain why current search efforts are actually hindering her recovery. When a dog like Luna is lost, she enters survival mode. In this state, her instincts dictate that everything unfamiliar, including well meaning people is a potential threat.

⚠️Why we need you to stop searching⚠️

When large groups of people enter an area where Luna has been sighted, it creates a "flushing" effect.

Luna is extremely skittish right now the presence of humans, the noise, and the movement causes her to feel unsafe and pressured. This forces her to abandon the area entirely to find a "quieter" spot, moving her further away from us.

We won’t be updating with her location to prevent this happening.

✅ How you can truly help us right now ✅

If you happen to spot Luna, we are begging you PLEASE DO NOT approach her, call her name, or try to follow her - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CATCH HER.

Instead, please Keep your distance and stay still.

1. Take a photo if you can safely do so from a distance.

2.Note the exact time and precise location.

3. Message us immediately with those details or call 07523366738.

The goal is to keep Luna calm and stationary so we can bring in professionals with traps whilst we can offer air support to keep eyes on her.

Accurate information is the only way we can zero in on her location safely.
