Flat and faux rook piercing.

Faux rooks have become super popular recently. With easier healing than a traditional rook these are fast becoming a new fave amongst clients.
We have a 1.5mm trinity from CS Body Jewelry in this, and a 2mm London blue cab from NeoMetal Body Jewelry in the flat.
We will be adding another flat at a later date. I advised that 3 piercings in this area can be super tough so we will wait for these to settle first.

Downsize on this vertical labret for
Theres still a little extra room so we will probably do another downsize in a few weeks so it sits nice and flush.
Its not unusual for piercings to need more than one downsize. Over time the tissue will settle leaving more room. So jusy because you've come back for one downsize, dont think youre done!!
I dont like to use a ball attachment on the top for these as it can already be awkward to eat and drink with a new piece of jewellery in your lip. So a flat disk, dome or gem is a lot less intrusive.

Well. What can I say.

This lovely lady went locally elsewhere for some piercings and let's just say. It didnt go too well.

For starters as you can see she has a bump on her flat and upper helix. She also sadly has bumps on her lobes too, though these are on the back. This is because the wrong jewellery was used. All these piercings were done at 18g. So super thin bars. Not only that but they were extremely long. This meant the jewellery was unstable and had too much room for excess movement.
Most importantly this customer asked for gold. What she got was not gold!! She got pvd coated titanium. Now this isnt an issue assuming the jewellery is of good quality. But when someone asks for gold. Do not pass off titanium as gold plated!! There is zero gold in these titanium pieces.

So weve switched out all her bars to 16 and 14g labrets. We have made sure the length fits nicely. Allowing for a little give due to the bumps. We will downsize as and when ready. And we installed gold!! Actual gold.
Weve added a moon and lightning bolt to the lobes. And we changed the upper helix to a prong set gem and added this stunning chain addition.
These are 14ct gold!! Real gold.
Hopefully once everything is a little more settled we can look to change her other ti pieces to some more solid gold.

This was a lesson learnt for this client but thankfully were on the road to getting these healed.

**conch was not done at the same studio and does have a real gold attachment. This is the only piercing that is healing well!!

Reverse transverse lobe piercings?? I dont know. But either way im sure well can all agree these look amazing.
Iv done all bar 3 piercings on ౨ৎ Ivy and we are still adding more!
These have been healing really nicely so we downsized them and popped some spikes on them (originally done with flat gems, mainly because I didnt have the spikes in stock).

I think the conch piercing has to be my favourite.

So many choices for jewellery. Protected, meaning you can sleep on it a bit easier. And not too bad for healing in general.

These pieces are great if you want something a bit bigger and fancier. The hug the skin closely, so are more comfortable and less likely to get caught than some of the other bigger pieces (which id recommend for occasional wear).

Tracey booked in for a curate session. We added some new jewellery to her existing piercings, gave some a good clean and added new piercings too.
We chose something simple for the helix as we knew we were going all out with the hidden helix. Sometimes less is more. We changed out the 4th lobe to match the helix and gave the daith ring a thorough clean.

Well be adding some more to this ear soon and I cannot wait.
