Going darker doesn’t magically repair damaged hair.
Yes it may look shinier when you initially put the colour on (if you’re lucky enough for it to not turn a muddy colour) but that shine will last all of 5 minutes if the underlying issues aren’t addressed.
Hermione’s client followed a strict home hair care routine before coming in for her transformation. And keeping up this routine at home is going to ensure her colour looks amazing for longer.
