Today, Mum and I attended the WACS 2026 Conference at the Village Hotel, Cardiff, hosted by YouCan Clinic.

A fantastic day filled with inspiring speakers, industry insights, exciting innovations and the opportunity to connect with some lovely fellow professionals.

I was particularly interested in the discussions around hair loss treatments and exosomes, two fascinating areas of regenerative aesthetics that I’m really keen to explore further.

I’ve even come home with a few new products to trial on myself first, with the hope of potentially introducing some exciting new treatments into clinic in the future!

It was also lovely to finally meet Dr Tom Kamal Dr Tom Kamal whose journey I’ve been following for some time. Such a friendly, down to earth professional, with an approach to aesthetics that really resonates with my own. His talk on building a thriving aesthetics business was excellent, and it was great to have a proper chat.

A huge thank you to YouCan Clinic for organising such a well run event. Brilliant speakers, great networking opportunities, plenty of coffee and a particularly good cookie! ☕️

And a little funny moment… Mum and I actually arrived separately, only to discover we’d both chosen almost identical animal print tops AND very similar bags! Clearly great minds think alike! 🐆😂

After almost 15 years working in aesthetics, I still believe there’s always something new to learn. Continuing to develop my knowledge, explore emerging treatments and keep patient safety at the heart of everything I do is so important to me.

A really worthwhile day, with lots of exciting ideas to bring back to The Face Clinic Wales. 💙

Some moments in clinic remind me exactly why I love what I do. 💙

I recently shared the story of a lovely client who, after seeing her results, jumped off the treatment couch, gave me the biggest hug and had tears in her eyes.

Well, these are her own words, sent to me afterwards. And what a lovely message to receive. 🥹

Having never experienced aesthetic treatments before, she came to me simply wanting to look a little fresher and feel more confident in herself.

Her treatment journey was carefully planned, starting with two Profhilo treatments to improve skin hydration and quality, followed by subtle cheek filler to restore support and enhance her natural features.

For me, aesthetics has never been about changing how someone looks. It’s about listening, understanding their concerns and creating an individual treatment plan that feels right for them.

As a registered nurse, patient safety, honest advice and natural-looking results will always come before anything else. Sometimes that means recommending treatment, and sometimes it means advising against it.

Receiving feedback like this genuinely means so much. Knowing that someone feels more confident, more comfortable and happier in themselves is incredibly rewarding.

It’s a privilege to be trusted with someone’s face, and it’s a responsibility I never take lightly.

Sometimes, it’s about so much more than the treatment. 💙

This lovely lady came to me having never had an aesthetic treatment before. After spending so much of her life putting everything and everyone else first, she decided it was finally time to do something just for herself.

We started her journey with two Profhilo treatments, four weeks apart, followed four weeks later by just 1ml of cheek filler.

The aim? To improve skin quality, gently restore lost volume and create a fresher, more supported appearance, without changing the features that make her her.

And her reaction? 🥹

She jumped off the treatment couch, gave me the biggest hug and had tears in her eyes. She was absolutely overjoyed, and moments like that really do stay with me.

These photographs show the difference beautifully, but the results are even lovelier in person.
