One of the most common things I see when assessing clients’ skin is irritation caused by using too many products or overusing active ingredients.

We often assume that if our skin isn’t looking its best, we need to introduce something stronger.

But sometimes that’s the complete opposite of what our skin needs.

Your skin barrier plays an important role in maintaining hydration and protecting your skin from external irritants.

When it’s compromised, you might notice increased sensitivity, tightness, redness or products suddenly stinging.

My advice?

Don’t automatically reach for another exfoliating acid or active serum.

Sometimes simplifying your routine, focusing on hydration and supporting your skin barrier is exactly what your skin needs.

These symptoms can have other causes too, so understanding what’s happening with your skin is important.

To keep appointments running smoothly and to make sure I can offer every client the time they’ve booked, booking fees will now be required for all appointments. 🤍

I completely understand that sometimes plans change, so your booking fee can be transferred once if you need to rearrange, as long as the request is made more than one week before your appointment.
