What actually happens when someone enquires?

It sounds like a simple question, but the answer often uncovers opportunities the business owner didn't even realise existed.

❓Does every enquiry receive the same experience?
❓Is anyone slipping through the cracks?
❓Are there unnecessary manual tasks?
❓Could any of it be automated?

Before you spend more money attracting new enquiries, make sure you're making the most of the ones you already have.

Do you hoover the outside of your house?

Well… your front door? 🏡

I was just popping the hoover round and happened to notice cobwebs all over the outside of my front door, so naturally… I hoovered them off!

A delivery driver saw me and said it was the first time he’d ever seen anyone hoover the outside of their front door! 😂

It got me thinking…

I probably shouldn’t have been surprised. I seem to have a habit of noticing the little things that other people overlook.

Whether it’s cobwebs on a front door or the behind-the-scenes systems in a business, I can’t help spotting things that could work a little better. It’s probably why I love what I do.

So… please tell me I’m not the only one! 😂🙈

I had a bit of a lightbulb moment last week.

For a while, I was focusing on who wasn't responding.

But that's completely the wrong question.

The better question is:

"What if every room I walk into already contains people who need what I know?"

Because the truth is, I help businesses become easier to run.

I help untangle systems.

I help simplify processes.

I help create structure, clarity and efficiency.

Not everyone is ready for that right now.

But there are far more business owners struggling with disconnected systems, manual processes and operational headaches than we often realise.

So instead of focusing on who's not ready, I'm focusing on showing up, sharing my expertise and helping the people who are.

It's a much better use of my energy.

So this happened on the school pick up yesterday…

While I was driving and chatting to my Mum, a new client onboarded themselves through my system.

Invoice sent.
Payment received.
Contract signed.

No chasing.
No back and forth.
Everything just flowed.

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about building better back office systems for businesses.

Your business should still work even when you’re doing normal life things.

Not everything needs to rely on you manually sending links, invoices, contracts and follow ups every single time.

May is another month that is a mixed bag.

We have 2 bank holidays the 4th and 25th which aren't on my graphic but you may wish to know about.

Some of the more funny ones which you might want to include in your content World Laughter Day -3rd, Towel Day -25th, National Lost Sock Day -9th and Eat What You Want Day -11th- a fav of mine!

We also have Time for a Cuppa Week on the 1st and Intl Tea Day on the 21st so lots of tea drinking in May. To balance it out through it is World Cocktail Day on the 13th!
