GRAZING WARNING / EDUCATION TIME ⚠️❌

Grazing has become increasingly more common with waxing treatments, more so because of skincare being such an important part of self care routines in 2025.
As amazing as this is for your skin, it is so important that as a client you know about the products you're using on your skin on the run upto your appointments, the impact the ingredients will have on your treatment and how to prevent it from happening.

Grazing is not only painful but in some cases can result in scarring, and will take several days to heal the exact same as any wound/cut. It will take away from your gorgeous new eyebrows and even give you an unpleasant eyebrow experience which is completely avoidable, making us both sad!

- A lot of the below ingredients act as exfoliants and therefore thin the skin, stripping off the top dead skin cells and producing the new fresh skin underneath.
- Warm wax is also an exfoliant and removes a layer of skin, which is why 9/10 people experience pink/redness. This is usually normal however when someone is using any of the below ingredients and then you wax on top of that skin, you will experience a graze which is what you see in the photo.

Stop 14 days (minimum) prior to your treatment:

RETINOLS (EG TRETINOIN, VIT A) ANY ACIDS (VIT C)

ANYTHING WITH A %
PRESCRIPTION SKIN MEDS
STEROID CREAM
ANTIBIOTICS
ROACCUTANE (emitt waxing indefinitely)

Even if you are using a particular product on your chin for example, your skin is all connected therefore this WILL also affect your eyebrow area. Regardless of whether it's a face wash, or a cleanser - if anything contains any ingredients mentioned, you are risking a graze which is completely out of our control as professionals, even with barrier methods.

I’ve made the decision due to constant rising costs, to put my prices up. I have avoided doing so for as long as possible but I can no longer sustain this unfortunately. These new prices will come into effect from March 1st 2025.
I’ve also decided to no longer offer massages, due to wrist and back issues. So this service is no longer available 💕

Thank you as always for your support and loyalty over these years, it never goes unnoticed! I appreciate each and every one of you 💕
