Just 16 dreads in total, we went larger on the sectioning to make sure the hair and scalp can handle the weight of the extensions!
This type of style is beautiful but it comes with alot of upkeep- the locks need to be monitored closely to ensure your they can still move, mature and thrive above the extension. The scalp too, needs to be monitored to ensure it doesnt show signs of stress with long term wear. This style is not suitable for every hair type. If you do plan for a similar look, please make sure you are aware of the ins and outs. ❤️😎

Long dreadlocks are beautiful but they can be quite taxing after a while. Its so important to check in with yourself and know your limitations. Hair and scalp health over aesthetics! 💓

Here I am just before my best friend’s baby shower this past spring 💗✨ (I am unbelievably proud of her!).The past year brought so many massive changes for me on a personal level. It was honestly one of the most stressful times of my life. The foundations that made me feel safe and grounded were completely shaken and dismantled. But looking back, I realize that the shake-up needed to be that dramatic to help me grow.I have finally landed in a peaceful place where I was destined to be: my new home! I worked incredibly hard for this. Running my small business by myself for 14 years allowed me this privilege, and even six months later, I am still so overwhelmed and grateful.I'm still adjusting to this new chapter. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions! The process of undoing old habits and relearning who I am is huge. You truly don't see the rut you've been in until you finally step out of it.These changes have been slow and subtle, but they are showing. I’ve started dressing in brighter colours, my hair is thicker, and my skin is clearer. I am more active and making healthier choices in every part of my life. I want to sing, dance, and feel silly again! 🥰 My boundaries are stronger now. I am more resilient, but also softer, more loving, and more appreciative of a slower pace of life.While I have poured my entire soul into my business—and plan to keep going for many more years—right now, I am enjoying focusing on making memories with loved ones and living a life outside of work.With all that said, my business and working with all of you lovely people truly saved me. It held me together when my world was falling apart. It kept me grounded, creative, and accountable. I’ll never fully be able to put into words how much my work means to me.
